SASSC If Nothing Ever Changed

Good Friday Morning Peeps!!! Hope you all have had a great week and are looking forward to the weekend! I am super excited for tomorrow and the Catty Cruise!!! I sure hope you will stop by and see all the fabulous creations on the cruise!!!

Today's card is made with the sketch on the Stamps and Smiles Fresh Batch Blog.

I started my card with a base of tempting turquoise followed by some real red and then some of the Pink Flamingo DS paper. The next layer is more tempting turquoise and more pink flamingo DS paper. I pierced all around this layer with my piercing tool and mat pack. The main image panel is made with the Flight of the butterfly set. I stamped the butterfly twice, once on the whisper white and then again onto a scrap of turquoise. I used the stamp a ma jig to line up the sentiment. I cut out the wings of the butterfly from the turquoise piece and rolled them a bit around a marker, to curl the wings. I then glued them just on the middle edge to the white piece. I mounted it onto a real red piece of card stock. I added a bunch of stardust stickles to the wings and set it aside to dry. I added some real red grosgrain ribbon around the bottom piece and tied a knot. I punched out three real red circles with my 1/2 inch circle punch and added them to the upper right corner and then added three silver brads to the center. After the butterfly was dry I mounted that panel to the main one with some dimensionals.

I did leave off the circle element from the sketch on my card. I tried several things there and just could not make anything work, so in the end I just did nothing!!! LOL!!

Well that is all for today, Thanks so much for stopping by and be sure and come back tomorrow for the Catty Cruise. You can see the line up and get a sneak peek of one of the awesome projects on the cruise here.

HAPPY STAMPING!!!!!!!

You're one of the good ones!

TGIF Peeps!!!!

Today's card is made with the sketch on the Stamps and Smiles Blog.

I had seen a few cards popping up lately around with the Petal Pizzazz set and it made me want to get mine out and give it some love. I used it so much when I first got it and it hasn't seen any ink in quite some time. You guys all know I am a sucker for flowers, so these needed to see some of the new in colors!

I started my card with a base of melon mambo followed by some rich razzleberry and then a piece of pink pirouette that I found in my stash pile, the last of that color I have. I then used three strips of the Razzleberry Lemonade DS paper cut to 1-1/4 inch each.

The flowers are stamped with rich razzleberry and melon mambo and cut out and popped up! I made the center oval scallop with my nesties and the oval is cute with my colozzle. The sentiment comes from the Smarty Pants SU set. I added some sticky rhinestones to the center of the flowers and to the lower corner. I used some melon mambo ribbon and pierced the top with my piercing tool and mat pack.

Well, that is all for today, Thanks so much for stopping by today and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!

Congratulations!

Good Thursday Mornings peeps!!!

Today's card is made for the sketch on the Stamps and Smiles Blog.

I had been toying with the idea of the elephants on this card for a couple of days. I wanted to place them on circles, with one standing up a bit, and then I saw the sketch and there it was. Three circles, just waiting for my elephants!! How cool is that?

I stamped the elephants from the Animal Stories Stamp Set in brilliant blue and rose red onto some scrap white cardstock and cut them out. I made the circles behind them with my nesties and cuttlebug. I then mounted the elephants onto the circles with some dimensionals. I added a rose red brad above the trunk on one, hoping to look like it was balancing a ball there! LOL!

I used chocolate chip card stock for my base, which is 6-1/2 inches by 7 inches folded in half. I followed it by some old olive and then some DS paper from the Tall Tales DS pack. I used some old olive 5/8 inch grosgrain ribbon across the part where the two colors of DS paper meet and tied a "knot" bow. The sentiment comes from the SAB stamp set "Congrats".

I think this would be a cute baby card or a card for a little ones birthday. The sentiment could be changed to anything you would like, Happy Birthday, Welcome Baby.....etc.

Well, that is all for today, Thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!

Friend

TGIF Peeps!!!

Today's card is made with the sketch on the Stamps and Smiles Fresh Batch Blog. I was very much inspired by this beauty, by Connie Collins. I really love her style and creativity!

I used the same stamp set and colors that she used and just changed it up a bit to fit the sketch challenge. I used some shimmer white to stamp the flowers onto with black stazon. I used creamy caramel, baja breeze and mellow moss to color the flowers. I added the dots with my SU black marker. I do love the now old in color of baja! It was one of my favorites. The DS paper is from Sweet Slumber and Parisian Breeze. I love the country homespun feel of the gingham and dots.

The friend sentiment is from the Bella Blossoms stamp set, now retired, and is stamped with black stazon onto shimmer white and punched out with my small oval punch. I ran the edges of the oval around the baja ink pad to add a bit of color to the edges.

The two white button is from the Designer Buttons, Latte pack, and I threaded some sheer black polka dot ribbon through and tied.

Well, that is all for today, Thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!

Today's card is another sneak peek of new in colors, DS paper and stamps! I used the sketch on the Stamps and Smiles Fresh Batch Blog.

I started my card with a base of crushed curry cardstock. The card is a 5 inch square. I followed with a layer of old olive and then some of the fun Tall Tales DS paper. The next layer is old olive and then more tall tales paper, the next is crushed curry and more tall tales DS paper. I used old olive grosgrain ribbon. The giraffe is stampe onto whisper white with crushed curry. I used my really rust marker to color in the tail and mane. I used my coluzzle and nesties to cut the oval and oval scallops. I added silver brads matted with a 3/4 inch circle. The sentiment comes from the Wild about You set and is stamped with dusty durango and stamped onto whisper white and punched out with the word window punch.

Well, that is it for now, thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!

Enjoy Your Day

Good Saturday Afternoon Peeps! Sorry for my missed and late posting. Please bear with me as I have some computer and camera issues.

Today's card is made for the Stamps and Smiles Sketch Challenge.

I was looking to make something fun and whimsical, so I finally landed on this stamp set, Penguin Paradise. It is an older retired set, but I just love it. I used some of the fun Pink Flamingo DS paper. I used tempting turquoise for my card base and whisper white ot mat the DS paper. The penguin is stamped with black stazon and water colored with my aqua painter and various inks. I also stamped the fist three times and water colored it as well. I used the SU set "Riveting" for the sentiments, it also a retired set.

Well, that is all for today, I hope to be back soon with a new card for the weekend sketch challenge.

Thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!

Thinking of You in Kraft

TGIF Peeps! This is my last Friday as a employed person. Sad but I am looking forward to some down time before the "job hunt" must begin.

Well, on to today's card. I used the sketch on the
Stamps and Smiles Fresh Batch Blog.. I missed a week or two of their sketches and I am glad to be back with it!

I started my card with a base of chocolate chip, followed by some kraft cardstock, then whisper white and then some Kraft DS paper. I used some of the textured Kraft cardstock from the Taste of Textile Paper Pack. I really love all the paper in that pack, so Yummy!!!

I stamped the tree from the Thoughts and Prayers Stamp set onto the kraft with chocolate chip ink and layered it onto some more chocolate chip. The sentiment is also stamped on the textured kraft with chocolate chip and punched out with the key tag punch. I layered it with chocolate chip as well.

I added some silver brads onto the image panel and then added my photo corner with more silver brads. Tied some chocolate chip grosgrain ribbon around the side and tied a pretty knot. I am really starting to get the hang of those. Thanks to those who helped me out with my bow knots!

The image/sentiment panel is up on dimensionals. I really love this color combo....who wouldn't?

Well, that is all for today, thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!

Great Friend

TGIF Peeps. So glad it is finally here!

Today's card is made with the sketch on the Stamps and Smiles Fresh Batch Blog.

I wasn't feeling to creative when I made this one. I do love to watercolor this rose from the Fifth Avenue Floral set. This one is colored with some Cameo Coral. Makes a really pretty rose.

The rest of the card just never seemed to come together like I wanted. I tried several things with it but wasn't feeling any of it. I was just too distracted with the Grey's Season Finale.

Anyway, I started with a base of basic gray, followed with some cameo coral and then some DS paper from the Walk in the Park pack.

Next some more basic gray and then whisper white and some coral eyelet trim. The sentiment is the one from the Great Friend set, I really love it, as you may have noticed, and is stamped in basic gray ink. First I stamped the frame and then used the stamp-a-ma-jig to line it up. I pierced all around the edges of the main panel with my piercing tool and mat pack. The Rose is cut out and mounted up on dimensionals as is the entire main panel. I added some basic gray brads and some gray taffeta ribbon.

Well, that is it for today, thanks a bunch for stopping by, remember to tell your friends how much they mean to you and of course, HAPPY STAMPING!!!

Thank You for your Friendship

OMG Peeps!!! A terrible, horrible, destructive, scary storm blew through here this morning! Trees uprooted, windows blown out, hail rain, hard straight line winds!!! A branch fell on my Jeep and broke the windshield.

I am posting my card late today but it was made for the final sketch on the Stamps and Smiles Blog

My card base is baja and I used some retired DS paper, Urban Garden. I love the colors in that paper and will be sad when it is all gone! I also used PTI white and night of navy. The stamp set is Upsy Daisy and the sentiment is from that same set. I used my handy dandy stamp-a-ma-jig t line up my sentiment.

I added some brads and tied a pretty little bow. This card is not a favorite of mine, but will do.

Thanks so much for stopping by today and HAPPY STAMPING!!

LUCKY

Happy Thursday Peeps. Let me start off by apologizing for my picture quality. I am using my daughters camera, because mine has died and I am not very familiar with hers.

My card today is made for the sketch, day three, on The Stamps and Smiles Blog..

The Ducky stamp is from the new set in the current mini, Wagon full of Fun and it is the whole reason I purchased that set. That ducky is just adorable!!!

I stamped him on watercolor paper with black stazon. Colored him in with my aqua painter and some baja, pumpkin pie and so saffron ink. I added some ground with some lite gray ink. I matted with basic black and baja. I layered his wing on a pop dot to add some dimension. I cut the baja scallop rectangle with my nesties and cuttlebug. I added a corduroy baja button that I tied some string through in one corner and the sentiment with oval punches in the opposite corner.

The DS paper is from the Sweet Slumber pack. The base of the card is baja as well. I pierced around the ducky image and put a light wash of baja ink over the sentiment.

The corner elements under the duck was made with the scallop square punch and the 1-1/4 inch punch. The entire center element is up on dimensionals.

I feel so luck to have started this blog and made so many great cyber friends from it! I am lucky to have a great group of stamping friends who took me into their group with open arms and treat me like family, even better! I am lucky to have a super husband who supports me and loves me no matter what, I am so blessed and lucky to have a great daughter and niece who make me feel special every day!

What makes you feel lucky?

Well, that is all for today, thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!

Make A Wish

Happy Hump Day Peeps!!! Hope your week has been good so far.

Today's card is for the sketch on the Stamp and Smiles Blog, day 2.

I sure had a hard card making session with this one, I couldn't come up with anything I was happy with. I couldn't decide between a 5 inch square or a 4-1/4 inch square, I tried trendy trees, nope, tried thoughts and prayers, nope.....then I finally settled on Big Birthday Candle. I like the final result but it took awhile to get there.

All I knew when I sit down to start this card was the DS paper I wanted to use, Sweet Slumber. I chose my card stock colors from there, Sahara sand, so saffron and baja blue.

I really like this set, altho I seldom use it. It is a fun set, could use for young or old alike. I stamped the candle onto my DS paper and cut them out, I did the same with the flame, onto so saffron cardstock and cut out. I sponged some ruby red into the center of the flame with a Q-tip. I cut the oval scallop with my nesties and cuttlebug and pierced the scallops. The center oval and the sentiment is on shimmer white cardstock. I punched the ends of my sentiment panels with the curly label punch. The sentiment, the candles and the oval are all mounted to the card with dimensionals. I added some so saffron brads to the corners and sticky rhinestones for the side element, to meet the sketch.

I decorated the inside too. Here is a picture :

Live, Laugh, Love

Happy Cinco de Mayo Peeps!!!

Today's card is made for the sketch on the Stamps and Smiles Blog. They are having a week log celebration leading up to the release of five new sets. Each day Monday through Friday a new sketch is posted and if you play along you are entered in a chance to win one of the new sets. I will trying to play along each day.

My card is started with some PTI white cardstock for the base. I used The Rockabilly DS pack and each layer is matted with the white. Last Saturday I borrowed this Birthday set, On Your Birthday, from my friend Lois, so I needed to make the most of it. I really like the Live, Laugh Love sentiment and so I used it for my focal point. The balloon is from the Crazy for Cupcakes Set. I stamped the "string" that is tied onto the balloon to come across the sentiment. The balloon itself is stamped onto some of the DS paper and cut out and mounted with a dimensional.

The rest of the card is pretty self explanatory, I accented with some riding hood red ribbon and black brads. I love brads, and use them tooooo much! How about you? What is your favorite embellishment? I would be hard pressed to choose just one, I love ribbon and brads both.

Well, that is all for today, thanks so much for stopping by today and HAPPY STAMPING!!!

So Glad

TGIF Peeps! It is the first day of May, the months are zipping by quickly, funny how it seems that way as we get older!

Today's card is my submission for this weeks sketch challenge on the Stamps and Smiles Blog.

I started with a base of tangerine tango, trying to make the most of my in colors paper and DS paper, they will be retiring in just two short months.

I followed up with a layer of so saffron and then some tangerine DS paper from the now retired Haiku pack. The middle piece is also from that same pack.

The main panel is the grass from the Inspired by Nature set stamped with old olive onto whisper white cardstock. I pierced all around the edges of this piece with my piercing tool and mat pack. I added some so saffron ribbon and then attached my center piece with some pop dots. The sentiment is from the hostess set, retired, Best Yet.

I finished it off with a tangerine butterfly punched with my Martha Stewart butterfly punch with some sticky pearls in the center and three so saffron brads in the top corner.

Well, that is all for today, thanks so much for stopping by today and HAPPY STAMPING!!!

Good Saturday Morning Peeps!!! How is your weekend going so far? Rainy here in southwest Missouri, suppose to be all weekend. I do have some fun stamping times plan tonight and tomorrow, so not a total "wash" here!!!

Today's card is one I made for the sketch challenge on The Fresh Batch Blog.

I just had to use my new set that I won from them called Cuppy Love!

I really love this set, it is soooooo cute and so much fun to color!

I started my card with a base of pumpkin pie followed by some riding hood red and then the DS paper I used on all of the card is from the Washington Apple DS pack.

I stamped the cuppy image onto watercolor paper and colored it in with some riding hood red, pumpkin pie and so saffron. I added some dazzling diamonds to the top of the big cuppie and some red stickles for the cherry on the top of the little cuppie. I cut them out and mounted them with some dimensionals onto my circle, cut with my nesties. I sponged onto the bottom of the white some kiwi kiss grass.

I added some riding hood red ribbon and the sentiment is stamped and punched out with my oval and scallop oval punches. I pierced around two of the layers with my piercing tool and mat pack.

Cuppy Love

Good Tuesday Morning Peeps!!! Hope you are having a great week so far! The sun is finally shining here, tho it is not very warm but I'll still take it, so much better than the glooomy past few days!

I am so excited about today's card. You might remember me saying a few weeks ago that I won a stamp set on the Stamps and Smiles Blog. It was in the mail yesterday when I got home! I had to immediately ink it up! I have been dreaming of this cute set every since I won!!!

I used some of the things that was still out on my desk from my last card. Mainly some paper from the Bella Rose DS paper pack. My base is large, 5 X 5 inches, in kiwi kiss. I matted the layers with basic black.

I stamped the adorable cupcake image with black stazon onto watercolor paper. I colored them in with some kiwi and riding hood red ink. I also used some blush blossom for the skin color. I added some dazzling diamonds to the icing on the big cupcake and some red stickles to the cherry on the baby cupcake. Aren't they stinkin' cute?!!! I colored in some kiwi grass and pierced around the whole image.

I used some riding hood red ribbon and three white brads. The sentiment is from an old SU hostess set, I can't remember the name right now. I stamped it onto some more watercolor paper and punched it out with my oval punch and then matted it with some more kiwi.

Well, that is all for today, Thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!

Here for You

Good Friday Morning Peeps!

Today I have two cards to share with you. Both are made with the same sketch from the Stamps and Smiles Blog.

The first one is made with the flower from the SU stamp set "Friends 24-7". I stamped it three times onto watercolor paper and colored with ruby red and old olive with my aqua painter. I then masked them off and sponged on some baja lightly. I added a little bit of dazzling diamonds in the center of the open flowers. I matted that with some so saffron. The sentiment is from that same set. The designer paper I used is from the Sweet Slumber pack and was matted with baja. I used my lace edge punch for the bottom panel and the ribbon is so saffron that was available during SAB. The base of the card is also so saffron.

This next card is made with kiwi, black and some Rockabilly paper.

The cupcake is from the SU set "Wagon Full of Fun". I masked off the candle before stamping because I wanted to add a cherry to the top instead, so it would match the paper. The cherry is made from a white brad that I colored red with a copic marker and then I added red stickles The cupcake liner is paper pieced with some kiwi paper from the same Rockabilly paper and the icing is colored with a copic marker, #RV11 Pink, and I added some dazzling diamonds to it as well, couldn't hlep myself!!!

The sentiment comes from the Wagon Full of Fun set and I just masked off the part I wanted, used my stamp-a-ma-jig to line it up and then when I stamped, I got a couple of tic marks from ink on the edge of the rubber!!! Darn it, so I cut out a cherry from the designer paper to try ad cover it!!!

The ribbon is riding hood red and and I again used the lace edge punch for my bottom layer and then added three white brads.

Well, that is all for today, thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!

Friend to Friend

TGIF Peeps!! So glad the weekend is upon us!!! It has been one of "those" weeks. On a positive note, I did finally find my cell phone this morning, in the bottom of the laundry hamper!!! How it got there I do not know!! But I am just glad I found it and it is still fine, just has a dead battery, it is home on the charger as we speak!!!

Today's card is dedicated to my friend Lois. She told me yesterday that I HAD to ink up another stamp from the "Wagon Full of Fun" set besides the duck!! So this ones for you Lois, Hope you like it!

I made it with this weeks sketch on the Stamps and Smiles Blog. You should check out the sketch challenge they have on Thursday's, if you haven't already, those girls post the cutest cards!!!

I started mine with a base of so saffron and followed that with some baja and then some DS paper from the "Sweet Slumber" pack.

The strip on the side is also baja and more paper from the same pack. I used my EK success wavy edge punch on both sides. The next layer is some more baja that I ran through the cuttlebug with the swiss dot folder. I added some so saffron ribbon, from SAB, and tied a "bow knot".

The main image is stamped onto watercolor paper and colored with ink from smashing my pad together and squishing some ink onto the lid of the ink pad. I used ruby red and baja for the flower petals. The center of the flowers are so saffron, the leaves and stems are old olive and the pots are really rust. I then cut them out and mounted them onto some PTI white cardstock and colored in some grass/ground with more old olive and my aquapainter. that piece is then mounted onto so saffron and added to the card with some foam tape.

The sentiment comes from the SU set called "Pocket Silhouettes" an is stamped with black stazon onto white and cut out. I added a ruby red flower with a silver brad to the sentiment edge.

Well, that is all for today, thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!

Baja Rose

TGIF Friday Peeps!!! We are having some crazy weather happening around these parts today. We have snow predicted!

Today's card is made with the sketch at the Stamps and Smiles Blog. I love the sketches that Mercy creates. Also I was super excited to read that I had won last weeks sketch and a fabulous new stamp set. Cuppy Love! How cool is that! Another great reason to do sketch challenges, you might win something cool!!!

So now onto today's card! I just got this Parisian Breeze DS paper and I just love it!! Now I don't know if you would ever see a baja colored rose in nature but I am sure you can get one , I know they can dye them to any color you want. So let's just pretend mine is one I purchased from the florist!!!

The rose comes from the 5th Ave. Stamp set. I don't have it yet, but had stamped off a few images on watercolor paper when I was at my demo's house. This is the last of them, so I better order it or sneak a few more images out from her this week. LOL!

I used some baja breeze and my aqua painter to color the rose and darkened it a bit with a little teal ink. I added some diamond dust to the edges of the flower with my two way glue pen, it is soooooo sparkly IRL. Here is a close up so you can see the sparkle better:

The big ol chunky corduroy brads are some I purchased from Hobby Lobby, they are made by The Paper Studio. The sentiment I used comes from the retired hostess set, "Best Yet". Love that set!

Well, that is all I have for you today, hope you enjoy my baja rose and thank you sooooooo much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!
