MTSC Make Merry

Happy Hump Day Peeps!!! Hope your week is going well. I have alot to get done today so I am going to keep this short and sweet.

Today's card is made with Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge. I just love Mercy's sketches, you should check them out, and join in the fun!

My card is made with the "Berry Christmas" stamp set from the mini and the DS paper is also from the mini. I used some real red and soft suede for matting and the base of the card is made from white cardstock. I used my crop-a-dial to make two hole at the end of the card to add my ribbon through. The ribbon is non SU. I used some dimensionals to mount the main image to the base and also to pop up the holly leaves. The card is fairly straight forward, but if you have any questions just shoot me an e-mail, and I will get back to you ASAP!

Well, that is all for today, thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!

Mojo Christmas Cardinal

Good Tuesday Morning Peeps! It is cool, rainy morning here in southwest Missouri! Ohhhh Fall, How I LOVE thee!!!

Today's card is made with the Mojo Monday Sketch.

I started by pulling out this awesome "A Christmas Cardinal" set. Love it! I stamped the cardinal with timber brown stazon onto some watercolor paper. I colored the image with my aqua painter. Pure madness took over after that as I decided to cut out this baby!! LOL!! I cut out a circle and scallop circle with my nesties and cuttlebug. I mounted the cardinal to these with a few dimensionals. I then made up the rest of the card, base is real red, followed by whisper white and the DS paper is from the Christmas Cocoa Speciality pack from the mini.

I stamped the sentiment, from the same set, onto some scrap white and used the modern label punch to punch it out. the image circle is mounted with dimensionals and then the sentiment was added. The ribbon is some non SU from my stash. I added three silver sticky rhinestone thingys! After the card was all together, I used added crystal effects to the berries and the cardinals eye.

Well, that is all for today, thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!

C4C5 Thanks

Good Monday Morning Peeps!

Today's card is made for the Crazy 4 Challenges #5 Sew Happy. Let's see some Machine, hand or faux stitching somewhere on your card or creation!

I am still playing with retired colors and designer paper. This time, kiwi kiss and Walk in the Park Designer Series Paper. Kiwi is another of my faves from last year.

I used kiwi and basic black. The base is kiwi and then each layer of DS paper is mated with basic black. The stamps I used are "Friends 24-7" and "Thank You Kindly".
I stamped the image with kiwi kiss ink and then used black stazon to stamp the "Thanks".

I added some piercing and used my white gel pen to add the "stitching" around the kiwi DS paper layer.

While making this one I cut out enough of the same paper to make another.

This one was made with the same layout too. I used the "Flowers in Silhouette" single stamp and the sentiment is another one from the "Thank You Kindly" set. No faux stitching or ribbon on this one. I used my Fleur de lis edge punch and the pieces that are punched out to make the design down the edge and middle of the side strip.

Well, that is all for today, thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!

SSSC38 Grateful

Good Morning Peeps!!!!

It's Sunday which means it's time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch!!!!!! This card was made with the SSSC#38.

I used the "Thoughts & Prayers" Stamp set for the tree and for the sentiment I used "Falling Leaves". The base of the card is always artichoke, followed by some whisper white and then the artichoke DS paper is from a retired hostess print patterns pack. I wanted to work some really rust into my card to co-ordinate with the tree leaves. I searched and searched for some in my stash and finally came upon this piece from a retired fall pack, not sure of the name. I inked up the tree with markers in always artichoke, really rust and a bit of summer sun. I stamped onto whisper white and matted with artichoke. I used some small buttons from the earth element buttons for some fun accents on the tree. I threaded the buttons with some crochet thread, and added them to the tree with glue dots.

The sentiment is stamped with really rust ink and punched out with the word window punch. I matted on a piece of really rust cardstock punched with the modern label punch. I added some dusty durango ribbon with the polka dots to the back across the bottom of the rust striped layer and added a bow. The main image is attached to the base with some dimensionals.

Here is the sketch:

WSC Baja Birthday Celebrations

Good Saturday Morning Peeps!

Today's card is made with Beate's Weekend Sketch Challenge. This week is her 100th sketch challenge! Awesome, I love her sketches and play as often as I can. Her blog is chocked full of wonderful inspiration! Thank You Beate!

I am again playing with retired colors and papers. I so wish baja would make a comeback. I love it soooooo!!!! My card is a 5 inch square of chocolate chip. I followed that with baja and then the DS paper is the retired Parisian Breeze Speciality Paper. The center square is chocolate chip and baja. I pierced around the edge of the middle square. I used the butterfly die to cut out my two butterflies out of the DS paper. I glued the two together, and then mounted them to the center with some dimensionals. I added three sticky pearls to the center of the butterfly.

The sentiment comes from the Upsy Daisy Set and is stamped onto whisper white with chocolate chip ink and punched out with the large oval punch and then matted with chocolate chip that was punched out with the scallop oval punch. I added a small silver clip in the top corner and tied some non SU white ribbon around it. I then added a sticky pearl to each corner.

Well, that is all for today, thanks so much for stopping by, be sure and come by tomorrow for another Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge card! Until then HAPPY STAMPING!!!

PPA10 Give Thanks

TGIF Peeps!

Today's card was made for the Theme Challenge: Gratitude and Thanks on
Pals Paper Arts Blog. the challenge was to to create with a spirit of gratitude and thanks.

My card was inspired by this beauty by Sharon Johnson. I changed it up a bit, using the same paper and layout, but different stamp sets and embellishments.

The base of my card is soft suede card stock followed by white and then the DS paper from the Autumn Traditions pack. The stamp s=is from the Holiday Best set. I inked the stamp with soft suede and then wiped off the ink on the leaves with a paper towel. I then used markers in old olive, ruby red, summer sun and more mustard to color in the leaves, stem and berries. I then huffed on the stamp, (to re-wet the ink) and stamped onto white. I used the coluzzle to cut out my oval and then used my oval nestie to cut out the scallop oval. I used some crushed curry ribbon and a couple of antique brads for embellishments. The main image is mounted with some dimensionals to the base.

A very easy, clean and simple card.

Well, that is all for today, hope you enjoy the rest of your day. Thanks for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!

Little Boo Set

Happy October 1st Peeps! Today is a big day at my house. 23 years ago today my DD was born AND 33 years ago today I married my wonderful hubby!!! Yup that's right, on the same day 10 years apart!!! Must be my lucky day huh?

Well on to my card for today, I set out to make this card using the sketch challenge on Splitcoast. Of course, I strayed a bit, or maybe alot! LOL! I looked at the sketch before I started and drew it out on my scratch paper, but I missed that the back panel was directly in the middle of the card, I put mine to the side and I used circles instead of two squares, so I guess you might say, I was just "inspired" by the sketch! LOL!

The card base is perfect plum card stock. I followed that with pumpkin pie, I used the scallop edge punch on one side. Followed by More perfect plum and then the DS paper is from the Cast-A-Spell pack. I added some black grosgrain ribbon around this panel. I tied a "bow knot" around the ribbon. I used the "Happy Halloween" sentiment from Teeny Tiny Wishes set. Stamped in Pumpkin Pie ink onto white with Pumpkin Pie and punched out with the word window punch. I also punched out another in basic black. I used a needle and some black embroidery floss to attach the sentiments to the ribbon.

I stamped two of the "Little Boo" ghost with black pigment ink and used clear embossing powder to emboss. I used the 1-1/4 inch punch to punch out the little ghost and my 1-3/8 inch punch in basic black to mat. First I colored in the pumpkin, he is holding, with my prismcolor pencil.

I punched out three 1-3/8 inch circles in pumpkin pie. The are put down first and then the two "Little Boo's" are attached over the bottom circles {centered between the three} with dimensionals. I then added three black sticky pearls.

I had this little black box already made so I decided to decorate it to match my card. I used perfect plum and the DS paper on the front. I added pumpkin pie circles and the "Little Boo", made the same way as the card. I added a black brad in the corners. The same sentiment is added to the bottom of the box. I attached the handle with brads as well. Just needs a bit of filler and alot of candy and it is ready for some lucky little "Boo"!!!!!

Well, that is all for today, thanks for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!!
