Friendship and Love

Good Thursday Morning Peeps! Hope your week has been a good one so far. It is going to get fairly warm today in the upper 50's to 60 here. Heading for a big cool down with possible snow and ice over the weekend and first of next week, so get out and enjoy if you can!

I have two cards to show you today, both made with this sketch number 212 on splitcoast.

The first was made with the new SU set "Love You Much". I stamped the hearts in the set on riding hood red and embossed with white embossing powder. The large one I cut out and the other two was punched with the Heart punch that comes with that bundle. The DS paper is also SU and is from the Candy Lane pack. My card base is riding hood red and my layers are matted with close to cocoa. The sentiment is from the "Small Sayings" set and stamped on whisper white with riding hood red and punched out with the small oval punch. I then layered it on a piece of ink pirouette that was punched with the large oval punch. I added alot of sticky half pearls and some piercing with my piercing tool and mat pack. I used some riding hood red taffeta ribbon and a small spiral clip on the knot "bow".

This next one made with the same sketch, I used tangerine for the base layered with more mustard and the DS paper was layered onto old olive. I can not remember the name of the DS paper, Hawaiian something! the flower is from the new set "Petal Pizazz" and was stamped with tangerine on PTI white and the leaves from the same set stamped with old olive. The sentiment is from the "Upsy Daisy" set and was also stamped with tangerine and punched out with the large oval punch. I punched another piece of tangerine out with the large oval and offset it slightly to the top. I added a little mini library clip to the sentiment. The flower's center element was made with the build a brad and the stamp is from "Little Flowers". I used a Cuttlebug embossing strip for the small panel and added brads to the corners. Finished it with just some peircing around the top corners.

That's all for today, thanks so much for stopping by and Happy Stamping!

Vicki

P.S. I wanted to share an e-mail I received yesterday, I found it in my spam folder and almost deleted it when I saw the subject line said "Elvis Cards".

Hi, Vicki! I am currently in the musical All Shook Up at a community theatre in New Orleans. I want to send a nice card to all of my fellow cast members as well as to family and friends who come to see me in this show. I figured an Elvis card would only be appropriate and so I goggled "all shook up cards" and came across your adorable cards. Anyhow, I was just wondering if you make these cards for fun or if they are available to purchase. Let me know.

I can be contacted at this email address or by phone at ***-***-****.

Thanks!!

Jill

I was so honored, and we sent several e-mails back and forth yesterday and in the end we struck a deal for me to make 30 Elvis cards for her. It is exciting, my first sell! She chose
this set for me to make and add the sentiment "All Shook Up" to.

It is so cool how she found my blog my "googling" for Shook Up cards. I guess it was faith! :)

Have a great Day......I have Elvis Cards to Make!!!!!

Again, congratulations on the Elvis sales. Those cards were great. I love both of these cards, but have to say, I'm gonna be copying the red one with the Hearts. I love it, and the little pearls just set it off. Thanks so much for sharing your gorgeous work.
