I Thought of You

Happy Monday Peeps!!

Today I am sharing a card I made using the sketch this week at

This is such a fun sketch to work with.
I used the Southern Serenade stamp set for my pretty coral flowers.
I stamped with Black Stazon on thick Whisper White card stock and
colored with Calypso Coral ink and my Aqua Painter.

I die cut a circle and stamped the sentiment from the
Climbing Rose stamp set with Black Memento ink.
I also die cut a couple of leaves from the Wonderful Floral Framelits with Pear Pizzazz card stock.
I added my flowers to the circle with dimensionals and then tucked the leaves in around the flowers.

My base is thick whisper white card stock and I followed that with a piece
of Calypso Coral and then another piece of white that I embossed using the
Basket Weave EF.
My DSP is from the Happiness Blooms pack.
I cut at and angle and slipped a piece of Calypso Coral that I die cut with a die from the Be Mine
stitched framelits under the edge.

I finished up with a little white twine double bow and a few little basic pearls.

Thanks for coming by.

Happy Birthday

Hello Peeps!!!

Over at Fab Friday
they have a pretty color challenge to inspire us.

I pulled out the Wonderful Floral Famelits to begin my card.
I die cut the leaf/trellis piece using some Mossy Meadow card stock.

I then used a piece of Whisper White card stock and embossed it using the Basket Weave EF.

I added a strip of DSP from the Floral Romance Specialty pack
and that took care of the Petal Pink color

The Mossy Meadow piece was then added.

I die cut the sentiment piece using another die from the Wonderful Floral dies.

I stamped the sentiment, that comes from the
Southern Serenade set, with Black Memento ink.

The flowers also come from the Southern Serenade.
I colored with Calypso Coral ink and my water brush.
I fussy cut them out and added to my card with some dimensionals.

I used my Wink of Stella pen to add some shimmer to the flowers.
I finished it with a small twine bow and a few basic Pearls.

Thanks for sopping by!

Happy Birthday

Happy Hump Day Peeps!!

Today I am sharing a card I made using a  a retired set called Crazy About You.

I love his single flower in the set and have held onto it just for that flower

I used the challenges this week at Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge and Seize the Birthday
to get my card started.

I love a black and white card with a pop of color.

I used another retired favorite, Wisteria Wonder, for my color pop.
I did sneak in just a bit of Pear Pizzazz for my three little leaves.

The base of my card is thick whisper white and I used a black and white striped piece of DSP from the Neutrals DSP that is also retired, I guess the key work on my card is "retired"....hey, I say use it up!

I matted the DSP with some basic black and glued it directly to my base.

The white die cut piece is added to the card with dimensionals.

The sentiment is stamped with Black Memento ink and is from the Southern Serenade stamp set.

I decided to add the  black flag piece after the card was mostly put together, so I just tucked the two pieces under the edge of the die cut and glue them down.

I finished with a few basic rhinestones.

Thanks for taking a look.

Happy Birthday

Happy Tuesday Peeps, and HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

I am looking forward to a new year.
Change is the key word for us this year. Stay tuned for more on that.

I am sharing a card I made using the sketch at Mojo Monday.

This was a great sketch to work with.

I started by pulling out my Southern Serenade stamp set.
I stamped the pretty flower image with black stazon on thick whisper whiter card stock.
I colored using Calypso Coral and Old Olive ink pads with my water brush.

I fussy cut out that flower image, no small feat I might add...LOL!!!

I mounted it to a piece that I stamped with a lacey image from the same set. I  stamped using black memento ink but first off stamped once to get the lighter color.

The flower is then added to that panel with several dimensionals.

I matted this piece with some basic black cardstock.

The base of the card is thick whisper white cardstock.
The coral DSP is from a retired pack.
The black DSP is from the neutrals DSP

I added  the main image panel to the card with more dimensionals.

The sentiment on here comes from the You're Inspiring set.
I added a few basic pearls on the flowers and around the image to finish it up.

Thanks for coming by today.
