Somebody Loves You

Happy Friday Peeps!!!

Today's card share is made using the Parcels and Petals stamp set.

I pulled out one of the new in colors that I had not used yet, Pretty Peacock.
I used a piece of thick Whisper White and die cut a circle with the Stitched Shapes Dies.
I stamped the flower image with Pretty Peacock ink and the leaves with Pear Pizzazz and Old Olive.

I stamped a few more flowers and leaves on some scrap thick white and fussy cut them out.
I stacked the flowers up and glued together. I put them aside to make the rest of the card.

When looking through my neutrals for a color to coordinate with the Pretty Peacock, I
pulled out an often neglected color in my file cabinet, Sahara Sand.
It really looks nice here I think.
I used it for the base and also for the next layer.
I embossed he first layer with the Subtle EF.
I added a strip of DSP from the Incolors 6x6 pack down the
middle and banner cut the end.
I added my die cut circle next using dimensionals.

Now, let's talk about that sentiment piece, isn't it pretty?
I made it using one of the stitched dies in the Parcel Dies set.
I ran it through my Big Shot twice to get the stitched design on both edges.
I then stamped the sentiment in the middle with Black Memento ink.
I hand cut the end to make the banner shape.

This was then added  with dimensionals to the circle piece.
I added the flowers around one end with dimensionals too and then tucked in a few leaves.

I added a clear Basic Rhinestone to the flower centers and three
Peacock rhinestones from the Noble Peacock Rhinestones pack.

Listed below are all the "ingredients" used to make this card.

From The Heart

Happy Saturday Peeps!!

The challenge this week at Stamps, Ink, Paper Challenge Blog
is CAS Valentines.

 AND

When I first saw the sketch this week at Freshly Made Sketches
I thought I will just pass this week..lol!

But I kept thinking about it and thought I'll give it a go
with some hearts to coordinate with the SIP challenge
I first started just stamping some hearts from the Meant to Be
set directly onto whisper white card stock.
I was not really liking it and twice I smeared some ink....Grrrr!!

Then it hit me, die cut them silly!!
So glad I did, cos I am really liking the look of these hearts.
They remind me of the Conversation Candy Hearts.
I stamped the image several times using a variety of colors, I used Flirty Flamingo, Calypso Coral, Lovely Lipstick, Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green, Balmy Blue and Highland Heather.
I then die cut them out with one of the dies from the Be Mine Framelits. I love this heart with the ruffles and stitching.

I laid them out moving and arranging until I was happy
with them and then attached to my whisper white piece with dimensionals.

My sentiment comes from the Petal Palette set.
I stamped with Black Memento ink.
I mated this piece with Flirty Flamingo cardstock and
glued it directly to my thick whisper white base.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Stinkin' Sweet

Happy Wednesday Peeps!!

I am using the fun sketch at  CAS(E) this sketch
for my card today.

Also the theme challenge this week at The Paper Players is all about Love.

Do you think my stinkin' sweet skunk qualifies?
He is awful cute and spreading some love so I say yes!! :)
He comes from the Hey Love set, and he my be my favorite from the set.

I stamped the image and sentiment onto my oval die cut with Black Memento ink.
I colored with my Copic Markers.

I used a base of basic black card sock.
I then took another piece of basic black and embossed using the Corrugated EF.
I added a small piece of black gingham from the Botanical Butterfly pack.
I used a small strip of Real Red between the two layers.
I cut out a red scallop oval to mat my image piece and added it to the card with dimensionals.

I finished it off with a few basic rhinestones.

Thank you so much for stopping by today!

Shaker Fun

Happy Thursday Peeps!!

I am back home after spending a few days with family,
the grandbabies make my heart soooo happy!!

I hope you all had a blessed Christmas,
doing what makes you most happy and with those that mean the most to you.

Onto my card for today.

I have seen a few shakers lately and decided to try my hand at a couple again.
Before I was never happy with my endeavors, but I watched a couple of videos and it helped, I am such a visual learner.

I used the Crazy About You stamp set for my flowers. I love that set.

The DSP is from a retired pack.
The sentiment comes from the Petal Palette set.
I just used some red and gold sequins that I had on hand for my shaker ingredients.

Lots of foam tape was used to form the shaker portion and to add it to the base of the card.
I used thick whisper white card stock for my base and the shaker layer.

This card could be a nice Valentine card or even just for a person who is special to you, or even a Thank You for something nice done for you.

Thanks for coming by today.

With All My Heart

Happy Christmas Eve, Peeps!!!

Today I have a quick card share.

I made this card using the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches.

I wanted to do something besides Christmas.
So, I pulled out my Beautiful Bouquet stamp set.

I stamped a few flowers using Real Red and die cut them out.
I decided o go with a black and white card and use my red flowers for a punch of color.

I stamped the leaves and stems with Pear Pizzazz  ink onto my whisper white oval. I added the flowers to the piece with some dimensionals.

The sentiment comes from the Nothing Sweeter stamp set.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Crazy 4 Challenges- Love is....

Happy Saturday Peeps!!

It is time for a new challenge at Crazy 4 Cahllenges.

This week Karen's challenge for us is:

C4C296: MAKE IT ROYAL! Use Royal Colours and/
or Royal Images - your choice.

I don't think I have any Royal images so I choose to go with the Royal Colors.

I wondered about this a bit but decided that gold and purple seem royal to me.

I stamped the flower from the Stampin Up set "You've Got This" using Versmark and then embossed with white embossing powder.
I colored the image with my Aqua Painter and ink pads. I used Elegant Eggplant, Crushed Curry and Mossy Meadow ink pads.
I then cut it out and popped it up onto some Naturals card stock.
I then matted this piece with some Eggplant card stock.

The base of the card is some more Naturals card stock and then a layer of Gold Foil. The bottom piece is some Gold Fancy Foil Vellum. I tied a piece of the gold bakers twine around the base and tied a bow.
The flower piece is added to the base with dimensionals.
I used some eggplant card stock and the Crazy About You stamp set to make my sentiment.
I used versamark and embossed. I punched out my "love is" words using the Bow Builder Punch.
The "is" is actually masked off from the "miss" stamp in this set.
I added a couple of Eggplant candy dots in the top corners.
I think this would be a great Anniversary card or Wedding Card or when you want to tell someone you care,
Love is.........__________

Thanks for stopping by today.

Sweet Sunday....Love You Muchly

Happy Sunday Peeps!!

Here is the sweet sketch Karen has for us this week:

I turned the sketch on its side. I wanted to use this cute little Pure Innocence stamp called Daisy Girl.
I stamped her with Black Stazon ink onto some Crumb Cake card stock. I then colored using my water brush and ink pads.

The sentiment is from another Pure Innocence stamp called Flower Girl.

The base of the card is Crumb Cake and the DSP is from
I like how the design in the paper looks like daisy petals, cute huh?
I added three small gold pearls at the top.

Now let's see what the rest of the girls did with this fun little sketch:

Freshly Made Sketch....Whale

Happy Friday Peeps!!

Today I am sharing a card I made using the sketch this week at Freshly Made Sketches:

As you can see I took a bit of creative license with the sketch. I used one large flag instead of three smalls, but the basic idea is there.

I got this cute little Lawn Fawn stamp with matching dies recently and I thought it was perfect for this sketch. I stamped the two whales onto some white card stock and  colored with my copic markers. I then used the matching dies to cut them out. Same with the little heart.

I die cut a circle and added some DSP from the High Tide pack.
I popped up the whales and heart using some foam tape.
The sentiment comes from the same little set and I curled it around a bit to fit the circle and stamped using some Calypso Coral ink.
The large flag is made using a piece of paper from the same DSP and I hand cut the bottom and curled it up just a bit.
I added a bit of icicle stickles to the heart and a few silver sequins to finish it up.

Thanks for stopping by today,

Vicki

Paper Players.......Love

Happy Monday Peeps!!!

Today I am sharing a card I made using the challenge this week at The Paper Players.

Clean and Simple with the focus on the sentiment.

Not my usual style but I wanted to try. I decided to use some modeling paste on this card, which is popular right now and I had picked some up a few weeks back and had not opened.
I used the Stampin Up Hearts and stars Decorative Mask set to stencil on my hearts using the modeling paste. While still wet I sprinkled some extra fine glitter all over the hearts.
I then setit aside to dry while I made my diecut "love".

I used the retired Expressions thinlets and cut several loves from white card stock and then once using red glimmer paper.
I stacked up the white words gluing in between each layer and finished with the red glimmer paper.

You can see the height of the die cuts in this closeup and also get a glimpse of the modeling paste glittered hearts.

I then used a strip of DSP from the Stacked of Love pack and matted with someblack card stock that I embossed with a embossing strip, it is Stampin Up but I don't remember the name.
The red and black hearts are from a retired embosslit.

I think this fits the CAS with focus on the sentiment criteria perfectly.
Love how it turned out altho I did have to fight myself not to put any flowers on here...LOL!!

Just popping in quickly to share a card I made the other day while playing with some crumb cake and real red combo.

I used the Stampin Up Too Kind Stamp set and stamped the flower heads with Real Red and the stems are Old Olive.

The sentiment comes form the Best of Love stamp set and I stamped using black ink.

I added some twine and a heart button from my stash and then a couple of black brads in the top corner.
Easy Peasy!

Paper Players........Valentine for my Friend

Happy Tuesday Peeps!!
Thanks for stopping by today, I have a fun card to share with you. I made this card using the challenge this week on the Paper Players Blog

Clean and Simple One Layer Valentine.
Well, we all know that I like layers, but I wanted to give this challenge a try.
This stamp, a single stamp from Stampin Up called "People Like You", was not made to be a Valentine stamp per say but I think it works. I wanted to make a special card of a friend that would convey my feelings.
This is the perfect one, in my opinion.
This is a fun stamp to color and a bit challenging too. I worked a bit on the flowers and they are nice but not exactly the way I want but since I used regular card stock and not watercolor paper  I could not work the ink as much.
I stamped the image onto white card stock with black stazon and colored using my aqua painter and Strawberry Slush and Primrose Petals with a bit of Crushed Curry in the centers.
I used Pear Pizzazz for the stem and used Crumb Cake around the image and sentiment.

I used my Stampin Up black marker to make the little "scribbles and dots" around the outside.
The "love" is from the Best of Love stamp set and I used my stamp a ma jig to center it. I like how this turned out and I think my friend will like it but I do miss my layers and ribbons an embellies.

Let me know what you think.

Dynamic Duos.........Love You Much

Happy Monday Peeps!!!

today I am sharing a card made using the color challenge this week on the Dynamic Duos Blog.

Gorgeous soft color combo. I seldom use Pink Pirouette and it was a nice change.
I love these cute little flowers in the Peaceful Petals stamp set. I stamped them with black stazon ink and colored using my aqua painter and pink pirouette ink pad. I then pulled out my Pink Pirouette marker to add more color to them. I did slip in a bit of yellow in the flower centers.

The base of my card is white card stock and then a layer of Pool Party and the DSP is from the retired Love Impressions pack.
I then used a paper doily and I die cut a heart using the heart framelits and my Big Shot. I then embossed it using the Square Lattice EF. I cut out my two flowers and added them to the heart with some dimensionals.
The sentiment is from the Best of love stamp set and is stamped with black ink onto white and then cut and curled and attached to the card with glue and a couple of dimensionals.
I finished it off with a basic pearl in each corner. Simple and sweet.

Thanks for stopping by!

Sweet Sunday......You & Me

Happy Sunday Peeps!!

It is Sweet Sunday Sketch Day

Here is the sweet sketch Karen has for us today:

As you can see I flipped the sketch, well it is a mirror image with the flag panel on the opposite side.
I finally got some new goodies from the Stampin Up Spring Mini and I pulled some out to use on this card.

I love the new sentiment set called Perfect Pennants and that is where my "You & Me" come from.
I also used the new tag topper punch but it is mostly covered with my ribbon treatment.

The base of my card is Crumb Cake and then a layer of Coastal Cabana and then the DSP is from the new Fresh Prints pack. The flag is made from Coastal Cabana card stock and embossed with the Decorative Dots EF which will be available in the SAB catalog.

The little heart comes from the retired Heart to Heart Punch. I added a few sequins and a frosted embellishment to finish it all off.

Now lets see what the rest of the team did with this fun sketch

Dynamic Duos.....Sending love

Happy Saturday Peeps!!

It is time for another new color challenge at the  Dynamic Duos  Blog.

It is Black Tie week:

Real Red & Basic Black with a dessert option of making it a Valentine Theme!
I first decided to make some pretty real red flowers using the new Stampin Up set called Secret Garden.
I stamped one of the flowers several time onto real red card stock using Versamark and then embossed with white embossing powder.
I used the matching framelit die to cut the bottom flower out and then used my paper snips to fussy cut the other layers. I used dimensionals between the layers, popping up each layer. Aren't those flowers fabulous? Love them.

Be sure and hop on over to the Dynamic Duos Blog
to see what the rest of the design team did with this color combo!
Thanks so much for stopping by today and
HAPPY STAMPING!!

Color Challenge....with love

Happy Hump Day Peeps!!

It sure doesn't seem like a Wednesday to me, with the holidays and all, my days are all mixed up!!! LOL!
I decided this year the only New Year's resolution I would make was to participate and a few more challenges on Splitcoaststampers. That is an easy resolution and one I should not have too much trouble keeping!!
So to start things off on the right foot I looked to see what the Color Challenge was yesterday.
It is this beautiful, elegant combo of gold, silver and white.
Since I had some time I decided to see what I could come up with.
I pulled out a piece of Stampin Up Brushed Gold and Brushed Silver card stock and also some scraps of Whisper White.
The base of the card is the Brushed Gold and then the next layer is a piece of the Brushed Silver and then more Brushed Gold that I embossed with the Fancy Fan EF. I used a piece of the Brushed Silver and one of the Delicate Designs EF for the piece across the bottom, I trimmed along the scallop edge of the embossing with my paper snips.

I added some Whisper White satin ribbon across where the gold and silver layers came together and tied a pretty bow.
I then embossed and cut out an oval frame using the Designer Frames EF and some of the Brushed Silver card stock.. I used my Sizzix 3-d flower die to cut out the flowers, I rolled them up and added them to the frame using my glue gun. I punched out a few leaves using the Silver card sock and the bird punch and added them around the flowers. I then added some dimesionals to the back of the frame and added it to the base. My sentiment is from the Stampin Up Field Flowers stamp set and I used black stazon on Whisper White card stock. I cut it out and "V" cut the ends and curled it just a bit and tucked it in by the flowers.
I finished it off with some silver pearls in the flower centers and top corners of the card.
This card could be used for a number of different occasions, Wedding, Anniversary, Valentines or just a Thinking of You card.
Thanks for stopping by today and
HAPPY STAMPING!!

OCC...Loads of Love!

Good Tuesday Morning Peeps!!!

Today I am sharing card made with this week's challenge on the Our Creative Corner Blog. This week is a sketch challenge, called "Let's Play Dress Up". Use the basic sketch and dress it up however we wanted.

You all know I love a sketch challenge. I pulled out an oldie but a goodie Stampin' Up set. I have had this set forever and I have hardly ever used it. I started by stamping the little truck onto some GP card stock with some Memento black ink. I colored it with my copic markers. I am still learning with those, but I do like how the truck turned out. The hearts are colored the same way, with copics, using some pinks and reds, and then I added a bit of glitter to them.

I then looking for some paper and card stock to match the truck. The closest I could find was some Marina Mist. I had just gotten the Subtles Patterns Designer Series Paper Stack, which includes Marina Mist so I pulled out a piece. I also used some white card stock that I embossed with the square lattice EF. I added the sentiment with black stazon ink using my stamp-a-ma-jig and masking off to make the straight line sentiment, because the stamp is not made that way.

I added some Marina mist ribbon and some red mini brads for a pop of color.

Well, that is all from me today, thanks for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!

SSSC100.....LOVE

GOOD SUNDAY MORNING PEEPS!!! It's my favorite time of the week, time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch Sample

This is the fabulous sketch Karen has for us this week:

I flipped the sketch for my card, I rarely do that but, I did this time. I started my card with a base or rose red card stock. My card is a 5 inch square. I followed with a layer or whisper white and the designer paper is from the Stampin' Up Sweet & Sour Speciality Pack. I used a heart shaped paper doily for my circle element from the sketch.

The strip to the side is more rose red card stock with the edge punched with the pinking hearts border punch. The stamped sentiment is from the Stampin' Up Full of Love set. I masked off the "O" in the Love and added in the little Valentine girl from the Greeting Card Kids Stamp Set. I colored her with some pretty in pink, rose red, blush blossom and crumb cake ink. I added some whisper white satin ribbon and a pink button. I threaded some silver cord through the button and added a heart pin to the bow. I finished it off with some silver sticky pearls at each corner.

I hope you can find some time to play along with us this week, I would love to see what you come up with, create a card or scrapbook page with this sketch and then go to Karen's blog and link up your project for all of us to see.

This will be Laura's last week of being on the Sweet Sunday Sketch Team, she is stepping back to have some more family time, we will miss her and her fabulous creations!
