SSSC91......Peace On Earth

GOOD SUNDAY MORNING PEEPS!!! It's my favorite time of the week, time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch Sample

This is the fabulous sketch Karen has for us this week:

I started my card with a base of Soft Suede card stock. I followed that with a layer of Cherry Cobbler card stock, I love that color. The DSP is from the Deck the Halls paper pack. I divided the sheet into three strips, following the sketch. The stamp set I used is The Level 2 Hostess set "Peaceful Season" from the mini. I stamped the holly leaves with Always artichoke ink onto the very vanilla card stock, first stamping off once onto scrap paper. I stamped the sentiment with Cherry Cobbler ink over the holly leaves image. I used my oval and scallop oval nesties to cut out the main image and to matt it. I used some cherry cobbler seam binding ribbon and some Chantilly crochet trim to wrap the card and tie a bow. I used my copic marker R39 to color some pearls to match the cherry cobbler paper and ribbon.

I kept this one pretty clean and simple, I do like the vintage feel to that Deck the Halls DS paper.

I hope you can find some time to play along with us this week, I would love to see what you come up with, create a card or scrapbook page with this sketch and then go to Karen's blog and link up your project for all of us to see.

OK, let's see what the rest of the Sweet Sunday Sketch Team has in store for us this week:

A Peachy Keen Gingerbread Boy

Good Saturday Morning Peeps!!

Today I am sharing a Gingerbread Ornament I made for the Let's Face it Fridays Challenge on the Peachy Keen Stamps Blog. This weeks challenge is To create a Winter Holiday Ornament using your Peachy Keen Face Stamps.

On this gingerbread guy I used a face stamp from the Winter Faces Set. I found the pattern for the gingerbread guy online, it is an applique pattern that I downloaded and printed out and traced to make my ornament. I used some Crumb Cake card stock and sponged with more mustard ink. I used my white gel pen to add the "frosting lines". The hearts are from the heart to heart punch. I added some cheeks with my cherry cobbler ink pad and a sponge and the highlighted the cheeks and eyes with my white gel pen. I made a bow from the Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding and glued it on. I punched a small hole at the top and used some silver tinsel to tie a hanger. Very simple but very cute, well, I think he is very cute anyway!!!

Well, that is all from me today, Thanks so much for stopping by today and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!!

Give me all your candy!

TGIF Peeps!!

Today I am sharing a cute little tea bag holder that I made awhile back. The stamped I used is a Stampendous, I think, and is one I got when I was in Kansas City earlier this month. We used this stamp in the copics class and I loved it so I had to get it. I colored several of these just for practice. It is fun but I am not sure I will ever get the hang of these markers!!!

I used the tutorial HERE, for my tea bag Holder.

Inside shot:

The paper I used is from a retired DS pack. I used some wide pumpkin pie striped ribbon to go around and tie a bow to hold it close.

I am entering this in the Create with Connie and Mary themed challenge this week, any thing Halloween!

Well, that is all from me, thanks for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!

MTSC....Birthday Wishes in Pink

Happy Thursday Peeps!!!

Today's card share is made with Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge and also the Stampin Up LateNightStampers Challenge to use pink!

I used melon mambo, crumb cake and white card stock for this card. The flower is from the Fifth Avenue Floral stamp set. I stamped with versamark onto the crumb cake and used white embossing powder and my heat gun to emboss them. I then used my aqua painter and melon mambo ink pad to color them in. I stamped and colored one onto the crumb cake and cut it out and popped it up over the middle flower. The little bit of DS paper is from the retired Razzleberry Lemonade pack. The sentiment comes from the Level 3 Hostess set Occasional Quotes stamp set. I stamped onto some scrap crumb cake and cut apart and matted with some melon card stock.

Well, that is all from me, thanks for coming by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!

Curtain Call....Happy Halloween

Good Tuesday Morning Peeps!!

Today's card share is made with this week's color challenge at Stacey's Stamping Stage.

The colors this week are Pumpkin Pie, Basic Black, Basic Gray, Daffodil Delight and Whisper White. Perfect Halloween colors right?

My card is a somewhat CASE of a card I remember seeing sometime back on the SU website. I couldn't find it again when I thought about this one so I am not sure it is much like the one I am thinking of but I had to say just in case. I know the one I saw didn't have any DSP but you know me, I can't really make a card without some. This DSP is from a retired pack, in fact the stamp set is retired too, but a favorite of mine and will probably always be in my collection. The DSP is Ghostly Greetings and the stamp set is Autumn Apparitions. I also used different colors from the one I saw I changed them up to be for this color challenge. I used the bat punch and added some silver sticky pearls, non SU, to the bat and the cat eyes.

Well, that is all from me today, Thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!

Because I Care...In Pink!

Good Monday Mornings Peep!!!

This is my last week as a guest designer on the LateNightStampers Group and this week's challenge is Challenge 93-Think Pink. In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, make cards with lots of pink!

I do have some exciting News to share, Mary Jo asked if I would like to join the LateNightStampers designers permanently and I accepted, so after this week I will be a regular on the design team!

So onto my card, I used rose red for my base and the DS paper on this is from the Sweet and Sour Speciality Pack, such fun paper in that pack. the stamp set I used is the Level 1 hostess set, Because I Care. I stamped the flower onto the white card stock with black stazon. I used my aqua painter and colored the flower in with regal rose and certainly celery ink.

I am also entering this card in the The Paper Players Challenge #21 Ann's Recipe The recipe is:

All you need to do is simply include the following "ingredients":

One Designer Series Paper

Something which has been punched

A sentiment

My punched item may not be easy to spot but it is there, my large scallops under the ribbon are made with the Large flower punch, punch out the flower and cut the flower across leaving two "petals together" to make the scallops! Easy Peasy! The sentiment on this card comes from the same stamp set and is stamped onto the white card stock and I cut each end into "V's" I curled it a bit around a marker and added two layers of foam tape under one part to make it "wave".

The buttons are from my stash and the ribbon is regal rose grosgrain.

Well, that is all from me today, thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!

SSSC90.......Grateful

GOOD SUNDAY MORNING PEEPS!!! It's my favorite time of the week, time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch Sample

This is the fabulous sketch Karen has for us this week:

My card is made with the French Foliage stamp set from the mini. I stamped the images using crumb cake, pumpkin pie, more mustard and cajun craze ink onto very vanilla card stock. the base of the card is chocolate chip and I followed that with a piece of pumpkin pie card stock. I used the square lattice Embossing folder and sponged the edges with cajun craze. I wanted to put my ribbon across the bottom but it just didn't look quite right when I did so I ended up using my slot punch to thread the ribbon under and then up through to tie the bow. The sentiment is from the Falling Leaves stamp set.

I hope you can find some time to play along with us this week, I would love to see what you come up with, create a card or scrapbook page with this sketch and then go to Karen's blog and link up your project for all of us to see.

Season of Sweetness

Good Saturday Morning Peeps!

So sorry for the long silence this week, just taking a bit of a break here. I am back with a fun little card to share with you today tho! This card is made with a new stamp set I just got, it is called Merry Crittermas and it is loaded with a bunch of fun little Christmas critters. My fave when first looking at it was this cute fun little rabbit, he looks like he is having a good time riding down a snow packed hillside on his new Christmas sled, well that is what I think anyway!! LOL!

I stamped him with black stazon onto some watercolor paper that i had first cut out with my top note die. The sentiment is from the same set and is also stamped with black stazon. I colored the rabbit with my aqua painter and ink from my ink pads. I used crumb cake, soft suede, baja breeze, real red and pink pirouette. I sponged the edges with baja breeze. The base of the card is real red and then baja breeze. The DSP is from the Candy Cane pack.

I used some silver tinsel across the middle. I punched out a snowflake with baja and added a big red button to the center of the snowflake. I put a bit of tinsel through the button. I added some silver pearls to the bottom.

Well, that is all from me today, I will be back in the AM with my Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge Sample. See you then, and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!

Bring Back Beautiful Petal Box

Good Tuesday Morning Peeps!

Today I have a fun little petal box to share with you. I made this for the Flourishes Bring Back Beautiful Challenge this is challenge #3 and is the beauty of as gift. I got my template for this box from Here.

I am trying hard to achieve the vintage feel/look that is so popular right now, I think I do "cute" better.

I used crumb cake and printed out the template directly onto the card stock. The bottom of the box is super simple. No problem there at all. Next the top of the box, it is a bit more challenging, to say the least!

I used the vintage "Deck the Halls" DS paper for my "petals". I sponged the box heavily with crumb cake ink, it still didn't hide all the lines that printed from the template, for the next one, I need to try and figure that little problem out. I don't see how you could not print the template or how you could use the other side. but I will have to investigate that further.

I used some of the new Cherry Cobbler seam binding for my bow on the top and let it hang down the edges. The sentiment is from the Bells and Boughs stamp set and I used more of the Deck the Halls paper for the little front piece. I used a 1 inch strip of paper and scored every 1/2 inch. I added a antique brad to the center and used some icicle stickles around the sentiment and the round folded fan.

Another view:

Well, that is all from me today. Whatcha think of this box? Should I try another? Maybe in the candy cane paper?

Thanks for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!

SSSC89.....Happy Halloween

GOOD SUNDAY MORNING PEEPS!!! It's my favorite time of the week, time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch Sample

This is the fabulous sketch Karen has for us this week:

I started out with the best of intentions with this sketch, but do you know how when you have an idea in your head and then........well this card was that way. I knew I wanted to use this little witch from the Fang-tastic set and have her riding her broom, and I knew I wanted to use these fun little bats from some trim I got when I was in Kansas City last week. When I was putting it all together, my little witch just didn't look right on the rectangle element in the sketch, so I changed it to a circle. To look like the moon, but then I couldn't come up with anything for the scallop piece that should be on the edge of the rectangle, so that is where I decided it was ok to just have my card vary a bit. The bones of the sketch are still there huh?

The base of my card is basic black and the DS paper I used is some really old Stampin Up Halloween paper I had in my stash. I don't even know the name of it but I like it and when I saw it I thought I had to use it. The witch is stamped with black stazon onto some shimmer paper and colored in with my aqua painter and some ink from the ink pads. I cut it out and the broom too wand mounted it over the "moon" with some dimensionals. I used the spider web embossing folder on the black strip and I added a bit of old olive trim. The sentiment is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set and punched out with the word window punch. The bats are puffy little black by the yard trim, I just cut them apart and glued them on.

I hope you can find some time to play along with us this week, I would love to see what you come up with, create a card or scrapbook page with this sketch and then go to Karen's blog and link up your project for all of us to see.

MTSC95......Merry Christmas

Good Thursday Morning Peeps!!

Today's card share is made with Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge. My card uses the Contempo Christmas stamp set and the Jolly Holiday DSP.

I stamped the tree from the set with timber brown stazon onto some very vanilla card stock. I used my aqua painter to add some old olive ink to the tree and a bit of daffodil delight to the star. The sentiment is from the same set and is stamped with cherry cobbler ink onto the very vanilla. I offset the cherry cobbler piece behind the image panel and add some piercing around the edges. I used some of the Cherry Cobbler seam binding ribbon across the top.

The base of the card is a 5 inch square or old olive and I followed that with cherry cobbler card stock and then some of the DS paper. The small strip across the top is more DS paper and the next layer is old olive card stock that is embossed with the Petals-a-Plenty embossing folder. I finished off the main image panel with some sticky rhinestones under the sentiment and one tiny one on the star at the top of the tree. The image panel is attached to the base with some foam tape.

Well, that is all from me today, thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!

Season's Greetings Notepad

Happy Hump Day Peeps!!!

Sorry for the no post yesterday, I am not motivated this week and I really need to be I have an etsy order to fill, my sweet Sunday card to make and my regular post to keep up with and I am contemplating planning a get together on the 30Th for some girls stamping! What a time to lose the motivation to create....LOL! I just want to do nothing!! I hate in when this happens!! LOL!

Well, on to what I have for you today. I actually made this a while back, I found this little note pad at my local dollar general and I knew I wanted to try to make a cover for it. I like to have these little things on hand for last minute gifts. The pad measures 4 x 6, so it is a great size to carry in your tote. I made a inside pocket to hold receipts, stamps, whatever.

Inside shot:

I used real red card stock for the base, it is 6-1/4 inches by 8-5/8 inches. I scored at 4-1/8 and 4-1/2. Easy Peasy! I used the little Christmas girl from the Greeting Card Kids stamp set. I stamped with black stazon onto whisper white and colored in with my aqua painter and my ink pads. The paper is from the "Candy Cane" DS pack. The sentiment is from "Curly Cute". I added some red rick-rack from my stash. Next one I want to add a pen holder and maybe some brads to the inside pocket.

Well, I am off to get things going around here, thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!

Butterfly Birthday Wishes

Good Monday Morning Peeps!! Hope you all had a great weekend!

Today I am sharing a fun little round box I made with a tutorial I found HERE! I change mine up a bit to make it taller.

This is my second week as a guest designer on the LateNightStampers Group and this week's challenge is Challenge 91-Birthday Blowout, any birthday projects or cards.

On this birthday wishes box I used some of the Love Letters DS paper and riding hood red card stock. The top and bottom scallops are cut with the Scallop die #2. The sentiment is from the Occasional Quotes Hostess Set. As you can see I am a bit hooked on making these butterflies. I used the Butterfly die and cut out the butterfly first with very vanilla and then stamped with black stazon and the flower stamp is from "Elements of Style". I colored the flowers in with riding hood red ink and the leaves with pear pizzazz. I added a bit of daffodil delight to the centers. I used my aqua painter and used a light touch to keep the paper from pilling.

I added some pearls to the center of the butterfly and some black ribbon around the base of the box. The antennas fro the butterfly are some little doo-dads from my friends stash, not sure what they are called. You got to try one if these round boxes, they are so fun and easy!!!

Well, that is it from me today, thanks for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!

SSSC88....Because I Care

GOOD SUNDAY MORNING PEEPS!!! It's my favorite time of the week, time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch Sample

This is the fabulous sketch Karen has for us this week:

The base of my card is Cajun Craze and The DS paper I used is from the Autumn Spice paper pack. I stamped the leaf from the Growing Green stamp set onto water color paper with black stazon. I colored the leaf in with my aqua painter and some more mustard and cajun craze ink from my ink pads. I outlined the whole image with some crumb cake ink. From the first time I spotted this stamp set in the catalog I have been imagining this leaf done in some glorious fall colors, I love it! After finishing the coloring, I ran it through my cuttlebug with the square lattice embossing folder. I matted it with cajun craze card stock. The sentiment is from the Because I care stamp set. I added some very vanilla ribbon and the center brad is from the antique brads. I used the scallop edge punch along the edge first with very vanilla and then with a piece of the DS paper from the same pack.

MTSC....Happy Halloween

Good Thursday Morning Peeps!!

You knew it couldn't last long.....I made another Halloween card, I do love me some "Halloween-y" fun!!!

This card is made with Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge. What could be more fun? Halloween and a Mercy sketch two of my favorite things!!!

My card is made with a base of Cajun Craze and I followed that with some DS paper from the Wicked Fun Speciality pack. I made the strips behind the main focal image with basic black that I had embossed with the spider web EF. I then rubbed a bit of Platinum Shimmer Paint. I dabbed a bit of the paint onto a sponge and lightly rubbed it across the embossed areas of the paper.

I turned the main image panel a bit from what the sketch showed, not sure why, I just thought it looked better. The little witch and the little Dracula are from the "Fang-tastic" stamp set. I stamped them twice, once on the narrow panel and once on some scrap white. I colored them with my aqua painter and ink from the ink pads. I also stamped the pumpkin and cat on the scrap and cut them all out. I added them to the panel with some dimensionals. I added some 1/8 inch rich razzleberry taffeta ribbon to both ends. The sentiment is from the "Teeny Tiny Wishes" stamp set and is stamped with black stazon onto whisper white and punched out with the word window punch. It is added to the base with some dimensionals too.

Well, that is all from me today, thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!

Monochromatic In Colors

Edited to add :The altered junior notepads was made with the directions found HERE, by the fabulous Nancy Riley!

I get my JR legal notepads at Office Max and they will cut them in half for a small fee, like a dollar, if I am remembering correctly.

Good Monday Morning Peeps!!! Today I have some fun little projects to share with you and a special announcement. Last week I received an e-mail from Mary Jo asking if I would like to be the first ever Guest Design Team Member for the month of October for LateNightStampers. I was thrilled and of course I said YES!! This weeks challenge is Challenge 90 -- They are in for 2010/11--use our new in colors.

I have to admit I haven't played with the new in colors much, I think with all the new color changes this year, I have just overlooked the incolors a bit, in favor of some of the other colors, so this was a good challenge for me.

I knew right away that I wanted to make some gift sets, I like to have some on hand for unexpected occasions, birthdays, thank yous, whatever. I have really been enjoying making these little altered junior legal note pads. I added a matching card and a bookmark/paperclip and you have a nice little gift set.

Inside pic with bookmark/paperclip tucked into the little pocket.

I went monochromatic with these and that fits the challenge this week at
The Paper Players Challenge Blog. I used three of the new in colors, Poppy Parade, Concord Crush and Peach Parfait. The designer series paper is from the Level 1 hostess 6x6 paper pack. I used the Cherry Blossom Embosslit for the flower on the notepad and on the bookmark. I added a sticky pearl to the center of the flower. The sentiment "just a little note" is from the Apple Blossom stamp set and the sentiments on the cards come from the Occasional Quotes hostess set and the Curly Cute stamp set.

SSSC87....Some things have to be Believed

GOOD SUNDAY MORNING PEEPS!!! It's my favorite time of the week, time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch Sample

This is the fabulous sketch Karen has for us this week:

I used the fun little set, Jolly Old Saint Nick for my card and I have seen this sentiment from the Just Believe set used with him and thought it was perfect, so I had to team them up too.

The base of my card is a 5 inch square of real red and I followed that with some Baja Breeze card stock and the wonderful DS paper is from the Candy Cane Speciality pack from the Holiday mini.

I stamped the Santa onto some whisper white card stock and colored him with my real red marker and also with my aqua painter and some blush blossom. I added some star dust stickles to his hat brim and pom pom. I added some gray shading around his beard and around the whole image on the outside. I stamped the sentiment onto whisper white and used my scallop nestie with real red to cut the mat for the circle. I added a real red satin bow and some sticky rhinestones.

I hope you can find some time to play along with us this week, I would love to see what you come up with, create a card or scrapbook page with this sketch and then go to Karen's blog and link up your project for all of us to see.

PPA Mojo Winter Wonderland

Good Friday Morning Peeps!! It is October 1st, which is a very special day in my household. 34 years ago today I married my dear sweet husband and 24 years ago today my dear sweet daughter was born. That's right, dear daughter was born on our 10th wedding Anniversary!!!!

I guess with all that, I should have an anniversary card or at least a birthday card to show you huh? Well, not so much, I have a fun little Christmas card!!! LOL!!

This card was made with two challenges in mind, first up I wanted to use the Pals Paper Arts All Buttoned Up Challenge and when I knew what I wanted to do for that I went looking for a sketch challenge to incorporate with my idea. I found the Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge and with a slight change or two I made it work with my idea of the snowman button card.

The sketch could be either a round or square card, I chose the square but used the circle center element that was on the round card. I stamped the snowman from the Jolly Old Saint Nick stamp set with some black stazon onto my whisper white card stock. I colored him up a bit with real red and basic gray and baja breeze around the snow. I added more snowflakes, around the snowman with baja breeze.

The base of the card is real red and I followed that with baja breeze and the DS paper is from the Candy Cane paper pack that is the Holiday Mini. I used three of the smallest buttons from the Candy Cane Big Designer Buttons pack. I threaded, with great difficulty, some 1/4 inch real red grosgrain thought he buttons and tied a knot. I added the buttons to the card with my glue gun. I added some red stickles to the snowman gloves, scarf and hat band. The sentiment on this card comes from the Bright Christmas stamp set and is stamped with black stazon onto the DS paper. I used dimesionals to add the snowman piece and to add the square striped piece to the card.

I think my little snowman looks very happy on his card home! LOL!! I am really loving this Candy Cane paper and have made my Sweet Sunday Sketch Sample card with this paper, you won't want to miss it. Well, that is all from me today, thanks for coming by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!
