Color Challenge....Just for you

Happy Tuesday Peeps!!!

Today I am sharing a card I made with the color challenge this week on Splitcoaststampers. The colors this week are, pear pizazz, so saffron, and pretty in pink.

I decided to do some water coloring for this card, I had just replenished my stock of watercolor paper, I had been out for a few days, and we just can't have that, because I LOVE to water color.

I stamped the leaf image from the Stampin' Up Growing Green stamp set with black stazon onto the water color paper. I colored it in with my aqua painter and pear pizazz ink, darkening the color at the base of each leaf. I then stamped two of the flowers from the same set onto more watercolor paper and colored these with pretty in pink and so saffron. I did add a bit of regal rose to darken the pink flower some. I used an bit of pear for the center of the so saffron flower. The flowers are added to the base of the leaf branch with some dimensionals.

I made the base of this card with pear pizazz card stock, it is a 5 inch square. The DSP on here comes from the greenhouse gala and the play date paper packs. I messed around with the bow for a long time, trying to get it where it didn't intrude onto the image piece so much, and finally decided on this half bow with long tails because the two sided bow just was to big. I added some basic pearls in the corners and called it done.

Well, that is all from me today, thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!!

Color Challenge....Because I Care

Happy Hump Day Peeps!!!

Today I am sharing a card I made with the color challenge this week on Splitcoaststampers.

This color combo is so pretty, pear pizzazz, regal rose and so saffron. They are so springy!!! So I decided to make some daffodils, I saw this on some one's blog recently and now I can't find it, if you know let me know so I can give them credit and a link. The flowers are made from the Stampin' Up Growing Green stamp set. I stamped the flower onto some very vanilla card stock and colored in with so saffron and daffodil delight ink. The centers are 1/2 inch circles of so saffron and the are crumpled and pleated and then added to the center with a bit of mono glue.

The leaves behind the daffodils come from the Just Believe stamp set and the sentiment is from the Because I Care Hostess set. I used pear Pizzazz for my base and followed that with some very vanilla and the DS paper is from the Hostess prints pack. I added some regal rose card stock that was embossed with the square lattice and the perfect dots EF. I matted both with very vanilla card stock.

I added some regal rose ribbon and crochet trim ribbon across the middle and some basic pearls for accents in the corners and centers of the flowers.

Well, that is all from me today, thanks for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!

SSSC88....Because I Care

GOOD SUNDAY MORNING PEEPS!!! It's my favorite time of the week, time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch Sample

This is the fabulous sketch Karen has for us this week:

The base of my card is Cajun Craze and The DS paper I used is from the Autumn Spice paper pack. I stamped the leaf from the Growing Green stamp set onto water color paper with black stazon. I colored the leaf in with my aqua painter and some more mustard and cajun craze ink from my ink pads. I outlined the whole image with some crumb cake ink. From the first time I spotted this stamp set in the catalog I have been imagining this leaf done in some glorious fall colors, I love it! After finishing the coloring, I ran it through my cuttlebug with the square lattice embossing folder. I matted it with cajun craze card stock. The sentiment is from the Because I care stamp set. I added some very vanilla ribbon and the center brad is from the antique brads. I used the scallop edge punch along the edge first with very vanilla and then with a piece of the DS paper from the same pack.

I hope you can find some time to play along with us this week, I would love to see what you come up with, create a card or scrapbook page with this sketch and then go to Karen's blog and link up your project for all of us to see.
