Valentine Box

Good Morning peeps. Happy Hump Day!

Today I have a quick and fun little project to show you. You can find the directions to make your own Acetate Treat Box on splitcoast. I modify mine just a bit to make it a little taller. I added a inch to the measurement for the height of the acetate piece.

These boxes are so much fun and went together very quickly. I spent more time deciding on colors and a stamp set than it took to put together the box. My Happy Heart set is out on loan to a friend and my new stamps have not been shipped yet, so I took out this set from last year. Happy Heart Day I think is the name of it. I stamped the tag image on PTI white cardstock with black stazon ink and colored in the hearts and border with my Pretty in Pink marker. I layered it onto another punched out tag of pretty in pink as well. I added stardust stickles to the hearts. the top heart is one half of the butterfly in the same set, cut out and popped up on a dimensional. The tag itself is mounted to the box with dimensionals as well. I added a fun little mini library clip to the tag.

Filled the box with some pretty Valentine kisses and made a handle with pretty in pink tafetta ribbon. First of my Valentine treats done!!!

That's all I have for today, thanks so much for stopping by and Happy Stamping.

Happy Tuesday Peeps! Hope you all are having a great week so far!

Today's card is one I made for Jen's Sketch for you to try. I told you yesterday, that I love sketch challenges and I search around on blogs for ones to try I print them out and then rarely get them done. Well, this year I am going to try and get more of them done. My second one this year!!! LOL!!

I kinda had trouble with this one, Couldn't really get much to work, I tried several different colors and stamps, I finally, settled on this one. I added a layer, with the sentiment, hope that is still acceptable. I like the colors, again another one from the earth element family, not quite navy, I recently have been using this color more. The DS paper is from SU's Urban Garden series. Fabulous paper, love all the colors in it! You should get you some!!!

The sentiment, is from the SU set Heard from the Heart and the flower is from the SU set Eastern Blooms. I added more paper piercing with the piercing tool and mat pack and some silver sticky rhinestones. I think this would be a great thank you card, I love the font and look of the sentiments in this set!

That's all for today, Thanks again for stopping by and Happy Stamping!

Upsy Daisy Birthday

Good Monday Morning Peeps! BRRRRRR.....Baby It's Cold Outside!!!!

Today's card was made with the sketch at
Our Creative Corner. I just love sketch challenges, they are probably my favorite.

I stamped the flower from the SU Upsy Daisy set on PTI white card stock with chocolate chip craft ink. I then dumped some stardust transparent embossing powder over it and shook off the excess and used the heat gun to set it. It is really sparkly IRL. I like this color combo, but it took awhile, to get the right balance. The DS paper is from the SU Autumn Vines series. The rest is pretty straight forward. I used some versamark to stamp the flowers again on the lower panel and sponged the edges with more mustard ink. I added one of my favorite additions, paper piercing, with my piercing tool and mat pack and a couple of chocolate chip brads and a bow and, Viola, done!

What do you think, do you like the colors? I find that I use the earth element colors alot, I almost always reach for them. I need to break out and use some of the others, I swear I have some ink pads, in other color families, that still have the plastic around them.

Well. that's all for today, Thanks so much for stopping by and Happy Stamping!!

Thank you, Thank you very much!

Good Friday morning Peeps!!!

You know, I am still playing with Elvis!!! He is the King after all and he calls to me in such a sweet tone, I just can't resist!!!

Today's card was made for the limited supply challenge on splitcoast, Favorite things.
You know my favorite stamps right now are the fabulous CHF Elvis stamps!!! I also used the sketch challenge from this week on splitcoast for my layout.

I started with my card base of riding hood red and followed that with a piece of pink pirouette. Then a piece of DS paper from the Washington Apple series of SU paper's. I used the cuttlebug and embossing folder, another favorite tool, and added some brads from the silver hodgepoge set and a little mini paper clip. I tied a piece of riding hood red taffeta ribbon around the clip, another favorite embellishment, ribbon!

This thank you card is heading out to a friend who sent me a beautiful poinsettia for Christmas. Hope she loves Elvis as much as I do!

That's all for today, thanks so much for stopping by and Happy Stamping!!!
