Today's card share is one I made using the sketch this week at Freshly Made Sketches.
This sketch had me puzzled for a while, but the more I thought about an idea begin to form.
My card:
If you have been around here a bit you know I love monochromatic cards. They seem to be my go to style.
The stamp set is The Cutest Crew, I had used the other images in the set but not the cute little birds.
I stamped the image with Memento Black onto some Basic White cardstock and colored with my Blends. I used Cloud Cover, Darling Duckling and a bit of Old Olive.
The base of the card is Clous Cover cardstock and then I used some Basic White and another layer of Cloud Cover to build my layers.
The top layer of Basic White I stamped the little bird feet across the middle a few times with Cloud Cover ink and then I embossed with the Painted Texture EF.
The slotted strips are from the same stamp set and dies. They are die cut using more Cloud Cover cardstock.
I die cut a circle with Basic White using a die from the Spotlight on Nature Dies.
I stamped the sentiment that is from the Sweet Bugs stamp set.
I added the birds to the circle with dimensionals.
I then added a few die cut butterflies using some Lemon Lolly cardstock.
I finished up with a few adhesive backed Cloud Cover dots.
