Happy Birthday

 Happy Thursday Peeps!

Today is a big day in our family, not only is it mine and hubby's 44th wedding anniversary it is also our daughter's 34th birthday. 

Both memorable days, 44 years ago today at 6PM on a Friday evening at my Grandparent's home we had a small outdoor ceremony attended by family and a few friends. It was a HOT day, unseasonable warm for the 1st of October, the temp reached 102 degrees that day. I remember showering at least three times that day. LOL!!

10 years later, to the day, at 10:13 AM our only child came into the world, the weather was again extreme, not hot this time, but WET. It had been raining for several days and we had flooding everywhere.

 

Anyway, here is the card I made for her. She loves Sunflowers, so I choose our Celebrate Sunflowers stamp set to make her card this year.

 

 

I stamped the flowers with black stazon ink on thick whisper white card stock.

I colored with my water painter and ink pads, using Crushed Curry and Cajun Craze.

The flower centers are Crumb Cake and  Early Espresso.

The leaves are done with Garden Green.

I embossed the colored panel with the Tasteful Textiles EF.

The sentiment is from the Best Year stamp set and is stamped on a die cut from the Tasteful Labels dies.

 

 

I added a circle of Braided Linen Trim before adding the sentiment piece to the card base with dimensionals.

 

I finished with a few Gilded Gems.
