Fall Birthday Wishes

Happy Thursday Peeps!!

I am excited to finally share this card.
I have had it under wraps for over two weeks.
I wanted to make a special card for a very special friends birthday, which is today!
She actually received it yesterday so I can now share it.

I had been on a kick making wreath cards and it hit me, to make one like this using the leaf punches in the Beautiful Autumn Bundle.

I started out by punching several of the 2 leaves in a few fall colors, I used Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie, Crushed Curry and Cajun Craze card stock for the leaves.

I sponged the bottom of the leaves, which kinda got hidden when arranging the wreath.
I have to tell, I ended up making a second one of these for my card buying friend.
So on the second one I sponged more around the leaf edges and not just on the bottom.

I also used my stylus from the Simply Scoring board and the foam piercing mat to shape the leaves, I simply rolled the stylus in small circles on both sides and on some I added a crease of sorts down the middle.

The leaves are arranged around a die cut circle ring,
I used two of the Layering circle dies to make the ring.
I added it to a piece of DSP from the In Good Taste pack using dimensionals.

I used a small twig die from the Mini Curvy Keepsake Box Dies cut with Early Espresso card stock and snipped into smaller pieces to add in and around the leaves.

I added my wreath that is mounted on the DSP
to a base of Crushed Curry card stock.
The "birthday" is die cut using the Well Written Dies, I added a piece of  an Adhesive sheet to the back of a scrap of Crushed Curry and die cut the "birthday" 3 times. The Adhesive sheets makes it so easy to layer these up.
I like the dimension of layering the sentiment. I stamped the "Wishes" onto a small piece of Crushed Curry with Early Espresso ink. It is added to the card with dimensionals.

I finished up with a pretty bow made with the Braided Linen trim and a small Acorn Trinket. The final touch was a few small rhinestones for just a bit of bling.

Hope she likes it as much as I liked making it!

  1. Just a gorgeous card Vicki! Lots of work. But the punches are certainly faster than dies😊
