Happy Thursday Peeps!!
How are you doing? Hanging tough, I hope!
It is hard, some days more than others.
Seems like there is little hope that it will change. Scary times and I worry
what the world will be like when my granddaughters are grown.
Making cards is what keeps me sane.
It keeps my mind occupied and not always thinking of
of the trouble of the world.
What do you do to take your mind off the state of the world right now?
For this card I took out a couple of older items, still current but not brand new.
I love the Holly Leaves with berries from the Christmas Gleaming set.
I used it quite a bit last year but hadn't yet this year.
What I have used is the pinecones, those dies are awesome, I love tucking a couple of the pinecones into my arrangements, I know you have seen me do that before but I just can't help myself.
The pine boughs come from the same dies as the pinecones, the Beautiful Boughs dies.
My sentiment is from the Peaceful Boughs stamp set and is stamped with Real Red ink onto a stitched oval die from the Stitched Shapes Dies.
I used DSP from the In Good Taste pack, the dark pine wood circle.
And one of my favorite pieces of DSP in the Occasions mini this gingham look paper from Tis the Season 6x6 pack. It is barely visible under the rest of the elements, but I know it is there..haha!!!
The background of my card is embossed with the Suble EF,
another favorite I can' seem to stop using.
I added a bow using the Red Braided Linen trim.
Finally I finished my using my Wink of Stella all over the Holly Leaves and berries.
Adds such a pretty shimmer.
Listed below are the "ingredients" used to make this project.

So very pretty, Vicki! Love the mix of different stamp sets/dies and the Christmas Gleaming is one of my fav's! I love how you put things together like the holy & pine cones and layered them over top a woodgrain piece of DSP! The embossing brings some nice texture to your card which I love! Your definitely on a roll with holiday cards this year! Stamping is the best thing to keep me distracted and plus I do not watch the news anymore. It's always gloom & doom!
ReplyDeleteI need to stamp more and watch less news........it is so very scary times we are in. I too hope my g kids have a better life than we are in right now.
ReplyDeletethanks for sharing your personal stuff lol
hugs and stay well

All the cards that you are showing, are so pretty and look like they take a lot of work. I know all it takes is a little bit of planning to do such a great job, like you did
