Happy Monday Peeps!!!
I am excited to share my card today!
I used the Prized Peony set for my flowers and my aim was to make
Marigolds.
I love the colors! I used Mango Melody, Pumpkin Pie and Cajun Craze to color my flowers!
I used the sketch this week at Fab Friday:
I begun my card by stamping the floral image and leaves several times on my piece of thick Whisper White card stock with Black Stazon ink.
I masked the flower as I went along.
Now, I know these are not an exact mach to a Marigold. Marigolds typically don't have a center like this, but the I took a bit of creative license with that.
The leaves are colored with Garden Green ink.
After I finished all the flowers and leaves and everything was dry, I embossed with the
Tasteful Textures EF.
I matted this panel with Mango Melody card stock.
The base of the card is Early Espresso card stock.
I stamped the sentiment, which is from the same set, using Versmark ink and
embossed with whisper white embossing powder.
Listed below are the "ingredients" used to make this project.
If you

Oh WOW, this card is so pretty, Vicki! Love how your mind thinks as those marigolds are colored so beautifully and the added texture from the embossing folder is just amazing! You are the queen of flowers...that's for sure! Love it! TFS and have a great day! :)
Goodness, Vicki, this is one stunning coloring job! I am blown away, and your texture detail is over the top! Completely fab! Thanks so much for playing at Fab Friday!
Vicki, this is an incredible color likeness to the marigolds. I think it is gorgeous.
When you say you masked the flowers do you stamp a flower on Card Stock cut it out and lay it over the flower. Which you may either want or don't want to the next stamped flower to stamp over top of the flower?
If there are any contests coming up you certainly should enter this incredible card.
Thanks Lora
Gorgeous marigolds! I love your detailed coloring and the understated sentiment to keep the spotlight on the flowers! Thanks for sharing at Fab Friday!
