Happy Friday Peeps!!!
Today's card share is made using the color challenge this week at
I took a couple of runs at this color combo before coming up with a
card I liked.
I wanted to do a Christmas card and these colors are not traditional
colors for Christmas which is why it took me a couple of goes at it.
But in the end I like the result, the Crumb Cake almost looks like gold or
that is my story!!! LOL!!
I used the Brightly Gleaming stamp set and matching punches.
The DSP is from the Feels like Frost
6 x 6 pack.
I stamped the ornaments with Versmark on Water color paper and embossed with
Silver Embossing Powder.
I colored with my Aqua Painter and Seaside Spray and Crumb Cake ink pads.
I die cut a Rectangle using the Stitched Rectangle Dies and a piece of Watercolor paper.
You certainly would not need to use watercolor paper for his background piece, I just liked the
texture.
I added the ornaments to the BG piece with dimensionals
I die cute a stitched Scallop strip using Crumb Cake card stock for the edge of the rectangle using a die from the Be Mine dies.
I added the strings using a silver Sharpie marker and the silver string bows are made
with some twine I had in my stash.
The sentiment is stamped with Crumb Cake ink.
Listed below are all the "ingredients" used to make this project.

Beautiful, Vicki! I love the DSP you used for the card base. The metallic pearls and the silver twine are the perfect accents. Thank you for sharing at The Paper Players. Happy holidays!
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful, Vicki! It is amazing how that Crumb Cake does take on a gold hue when paired with blue! Your embossing and watercoloring complement that gorgeous background DSP! A fabulous card! Thanks for playing with my colors this week at the Paper Players!
