Hello Peeps and happy Thursday!!
Today I am sharing a card using a few leftovers.
These pink hears was die cut before the Holidays when I received the Nothing Sweeter Bundle
I thought they would be cute for a Valentine type card and I die cut them out to just see how they looked.
They had been sitting in a bowl on my desk with a bunch of other die cuts, I generally cut something out with my dies when I first get them just to make sure they are all ok.
So when I saw the challenge at Just Us Girls challenge blog
I knew the hearts would be great to try and put something together.
The Crumb Cake die piece is also a piece I cut awhile back.

The base of my card is some Thick Whisper White card stock and I added a piece of DSP from the Wood grains pack.
I stamped a sentiment from the Petal Palette set onto my crumb cake die cut with Black Memento ink.
I added a small piece of Crumb Cake polka dot paper that I cut fish tail ends on to the die cut.
I added some curled up twine a and a little strip of silver glimmer paper next and then added my two die cut hearts to the piece with some dimensionals.
I added a strip of pink pirouette card stock across the middle and then added the main piece to the card with more dimensionals.
A few little rhinestones finishes it up.
Thanks for stopping by today.

Beautiful card. Love all the layers and the color combo. TFS
ReplyDeleteReally love how soft this looks with the pink stitched hearts against the woodgrain paper! That stitched diecut under your hearts is awesome, too! Beautiful card! Happy Thursday, my friend! :)
ReplyDeleteYour layout on this card is very unique. Love the hearts.
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful! I love the rustic feel of it with the woodgrain background paired up with those pretty hearts. Great design using those leftovers. Thanks for playing along with us at JUGS!
ReplyDeleteTotally casing this card Vicki! Love it! Your thought on placement is perfect! So happy you played along at Just Us Girls this week!
ReplyDeleteIt's a good idea to try out die-cut when you receive them, I must admit I never think to do that. I love your soft pink hearts and the card you made with them. It turned out really beautiful.
