Making Spirits Bright

Happy Friday Peeps!!

Today I have a card to share using the sketch this week at Freshly Made Sketches.

As you can see I titled those rectangle panels, I am such a rebel...lol!!!

I pulled out the Spirited Snowmen set and stamped he snow couple image onto thick whisper white card stock with black stazon.

I water colored the image using my ink pads and water brush.

The base of the card is Whisper white and hen the DSP is from a retired pack.

I used a bit of the Galvanized Metallic Paper for one of my panels, I embossed with a swirl embossing folder. I used a bit more to mat my main image panel.

The sentiment is from the Making Christmas Bright stamp set
and I added a small piece of real red at the bottom edge.

I added some twine across the bottom and tied a small bow.
The wood snowflake element is from my stash.
I punched out a small star and added it to the top of the image panel with a dimensional.
Finally I used some stickles on the snow people and the star.

Thanks for coming by today!

Christmas Wishes

Happy Thursday Peeps!!

Today I am sharing a card I made using the challenge at Fusion Card Challenge.

I took my inspiration from the photo, the red and white.

I told you all in an earlier post about my love for Poinsettias and how I like to use them on a few of my Christmas cards each year.

This card was a real booger, and I was determined to make it work, I couldn't/wouldn't stop.

The poinsettia was what I started with and what gave me the most grief.....lol!

I used the dies from the Detailed Poinsettia thinlits.

I die cut the flower a few times and went to work putting it together, that was where I had my issues, the glue was just messy. UGH! and I could not get my adhesive sheets to work, but I was determined and eventually got it together.

The rest of the card is fairly simple and straightforward.
I used the basket weave EF and I heat embossed the sentiment with white embossing powder.

I added a few pieces of greenery around the flower and finished with a few red rhinestones.

Some cards come together easily and others try your patience, but in the end I like the results.

Christmas set. Don't you love that truck stamp? And of course, it must be red!

I stamped with black sazon onto thick whisper white and colored with my ink pads and water brush.

I die cut the truck and the sentiment pieces with the matching dies.

The base of the card is Early Espresso and then I used a piece of the Wood Textures DSP pack.

The star DSP is from the Festive Farmhouse paper pack.

I added a bow using some Cherry Cobbler bakers twine.

Christmas Wishes

Happy Tuesday Peeps!!

Today I am sharing a card made using the sketch at Sunday Stamps.

I wanted to using my Dashing Deer set again, so that was my staring point.

I absolutely love this set, the deers are awesome.
I decided to use this fancy stamped one for my card today.
I stamped with Cherry Cobbler ink and then used the matching dies to cut it out.

The base is Cherry Cobbler card stock
and then Very Vanilla followed with DSP from the Festive Farmhouse pack.

I die cut some holly sprigs and berries using Mossy Meadow and Cherry Cobbler card stock.

I added some twine circled around and then put my main piece over that.

The Holly Sprigs are from the Detailed Poinsettia Thinlits.
The sentiment comes from the Dashing Deer set and is stamped with Mossy Meadow on Very Vanilla card stock.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Making Spirits Bright

Happy Monday Peeps!!

I have a fun card to share with you today!

I made this card using the sketch this week at The Paper Players

Buffalo Plaid is very trendy right now, and I was playing with the background stamp, trying a few color combos, I landed with these two knowing they would be great for a Christmas card.

I used  whisper white and real red along with Black Memento Ink.

I die cut the deer using the Detailed Deer Thinlits with some of the Buffalo plaid in red.

The base of the card is Basic Black, followed with some whisper white and then the Black and White Buffalo Plaid.

I added a piece of red and then a piece of burlap ribbon, for the side elements in the sketch.

I opted to use a circle instead of a square as shown in the sketch.
I embossed the circle scattered sequins embossing folder.
The deer is added to the circle with some dimensionals.

The sentiment is from the Making Christmas Bright stamp set.
I added a few rhinestones to finish it up.

Thank you for stopping by today!

Merry Little Christmas

Hello Peeps!!

I am back with another card share.

This card was made using the sketch challenge at Freshly Made Sketches.

This set, Peaceful Poinsettia, caught my eye first when looking through the mini catalog.
Poinsettias were my Mom's favorite at Christmas and when ever I see them it takes me back to all of our wonderful Christmases. My parents have been gone for many years now but we never stop missing our loved ones.

Anyway I love to color and because the poinsettias have a special memory for me, I love to use them on some Christmas cards each year.
The sketch seemed like a perfect place for a little flower for the circle element in the sketch.

I stamped the image a few times onto thick whisper white and colored with my ink pads and water brush.

I fussy cut them out and layered them together using some dimensionals between the layers.

The base of the card is Basic Gray card stock, then a layer of Cherry Cobbler. The DSP is from the Festive Farmhouse pack.

I die cue the leaves and holly berries out with the Detailed Poinsettia Thinlits that match the stamp set.

The seniment is stamped with real red ink a few times to build and darken the color.

Thanks for coming by!

I colored the images with my copic markers and hen die cut out with the matching framelits.

My tag size is 2-5/8 by 4 inches and I used some DSP from the Festive Farmhouse pack .

The little snowflakes are cut with some silver glitter paper. I added a small strip of the same silver glitter paper between the two DSP's.

The sentiments are from the Signs of Santa set.

I added a gold clip with a red stitched satin ribbon bow to the top.

I will have a few more tags to share coming through out the next few weeks.

Happy Sunday Peeps!

Today I am sharing a card I made using the sketch challenge this week at Crazy 4 Challenges.

My many layers version of the sketch!

I hadn't really intended to make this a Christmas card until I stared putting it all together and well, it just happened.

I stared out stamping the flower image from Petal Palette on some thick whisper white card stock.
I decided to color my roses red.
I used Real Red and my water brush for the flowers and Pear Pizzazz was used to color the leaves and to stamp the rest of the foliage.

Of course I reverted to using some DSP from he Wood Textures pack along with a bit of Real Red card stock.
The sentiment is from the Wishing You Well stamp set. I stamped with Real Red ink as well.
I added a twine bow and a few rhinestones to finish it up.

So Grateful

Happy Saturday Peeps!!

Today I have a card to share that I made using the sketch this week at

I love the Country Home stamp set and this image was a perfect fit for my card.
I stamped the old milk can and the fall arrangement image onto some thick whisper white card stock with black stazon.
I colored the old milk can to mimic one that I have, it had been painted white at some period in time and then it weathered over the years and is now rusty/white.
I used my water brush and ink pads in chocolate chip to paint the can.

The fall arrangement is colored using, several inks, old olive, pumpkin pie, rich razzleberry, blackberry bliss and chocolate chip.

I hen fussy cut them both out and added to my embossed piece. I used the Tin Tile folder on that. I wrapped some twine around and then used dimensionals to add the can and flowers.

The base of the card is Crumb Cake and of course, I used more Wood Textures DSP.
The sentiment is from the Country Home set and the enamel dots are non SU.

Thank you for stopping by.

All Hearts Come Home

Happy Friday Peeps!!

Today I am sharing a card I made using the challenge this week at

At the lodge:

In the description of the challenge they wrote " Something wintry or Holiday would be perfect"

So I think this card fits.

I have been soooo hooked on the Woodgrain DSP pack, and I used it again on my card. I love the warmth it adds.

I used the Hearts Come Home stamp and die set for my card.
I created a small snow globe of sorts and I can imagine it sitting on the big wood mantle of  the fireplace at the lodge.
The house is stamped with real red and gray ink. The trees are stamped with old olive ink.

I got a bit lazy when finishing it up and instead of using embossing for my snow, I just whipped out my white gel pen and added some dots.

I took inspiration from the Stampin Up mini catalog from last Christmas on my card, changing it up and adding my own touches.

Thanks for stopping by today
