Sweet Sunday......birthday wishes

Happy Sunday Peeps!!!

Time for a new sketch over at the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge Blog.

Here is the fun sketch we have for you this week:

I have been wanting to break into my pack of Stampin Up Go Wild paper stack. So I decided this would be my inspiration for this sketch.

I pulled out my stack and got busy!
The base of the card is Basic Black and then a layer of Crumb Cake and then I pulled out the polka dot print from this pack, I love polka dots, don't you?

My little rectangle elements on the card are layered up with Crumb Cake, Basic Black and another print from the Go wild Stack

I left the middle piece without DSP to showcase my pretty butterfly.

I die cut two with Crumb Cake and one with Vellum, using the Butterfly Thinlits and the Bold Butterfly Thinlits.
I added some Gold Glimmer down the body of the Butterfly and some linen thread for the antennas.
The sentiment comes from the Build a Birthday stamp set and I added a small strip of Gold Glimmer under it as well.

Thank you for stopping by today!!

Vicki

Love what you did with this card. I never know how to put the papers together from a paper stack collection.

You make it look so simple that even I can do this now.

Thank you,

I will add this to my wish list.

Vicki, this is so elegant! Your layered butterflies are gorgeous and I love your color combo.

I tried my hand at using the aqua brush to color my bermuda bay card.

The flower is not very pretty I lost the affect of the 3 blossoms in the front. Just could not get the hang of the light and dark affect. Do you have any videos or a link to a video that would show me how to color a flower for the light and dark?
