Happy Monday peeps!!!
Recently I have become slightly obsesses with water coloring.
I decided to invest in some nice watercolors and some distress inks.
This card is my first attempt at water coloring with distress inks,
I really love how easy they are to use for this purpose and how well they blend together.
I looked at the challenge this week on Paper Players Blog and saw it was a color challenge:
I thought these colors would be pretty for my water coloring attempt and set forth to match them the best I could with the distress inks I had already gotten.
I started with some watercolor paper and stamped the image from Stampin Up's World of Dreams with some Versamark ink onto the paper.
I then embossed the image with white embossing powder.
I stamped and embossed the sentiment in thesame way, it comes from the Stampin Up retired Because I Care stamp set.
I then taped my water color paper down to a hard board and wet it thoroughly.
I then began to add my color. I started with Wild Honey and then Spiced Marmalade and then Mowed Lawn.
I dried with my heat tool and then added drops of water and let it set for a few and then dabbed off with a paper towel. This creates the splotches. Love that look!
The base of the card is Crumb Cake and then water color piece is layered onto some white.
I finished the card up with a few gold sequins.
I am also linking this in the Virginia's View Challenge #13
Thanks for stopping by today!!
