Color Challenge......Blooming Birthday

Happy Tuesday Peeps!!!

Today I am sharing a card I made using the color challenge this week on Splitcoaststampers.

with a dessert option of green.
Perfect color combo for some pretty flowers!
I pulled out my fave stamp right now, the Stampin Up Sweetbriar Rose.
I stamped the flower twice onto some white card stock with black stazon ink.
I then colored using my water brush and old olive and cajun craze inks.
I then cut the entire flower with leaves out using my paper snips and set aside.

The base of the card is some Papertrey white card stock and then the next layer is some embossed Pool Party.
The next layer is Blushing Bride and a piece of white that is stamped with the Hardwood stamp using blushing bride ink. I rounded the corners on both of these pieces.
I slipped a paper doily between the layers and attached the the base.
I then cut out the flowers on the second stamped image. I added them to the card using some dimensionals. I added some Cajun Craze candy dots to the flower centers.
The sentiment is stamped with black and is from the Flower Patch stamp set.

Thanks for stopping by

Vicki

This is soooo pretty! Did you cut out and color both sets of stamped flowers? And then put dimensionals between them and then attached it to the hardwood stamped background?

Oh, Vicki, this is GORGEOUS!! I love ALL your cards, but this one really speaks to me! Just love fussy cutting, and it's so worth it, and I love the soft colors! Stunning and fabulous card, sweet friend!! Hugs!
