Happy Tuesday Peeps!!
Today i am sharing a card I made using the color challenge this week on SplitCoastStampers.
The colors are:
Tempting Turquoise, Coastal Cabana and Crisp Cantaloupe. Such a pretty combo for this dreary Winter's Day. The dessert option is Framing~~Hand Drawn, Stamped or Cut~~
I pulled out my new Peaceful Petals Stamp set, Love it! I stamped a couple of the flower stamps onto some scrap card stock and water colored with my aqua painter and the Crisp Cantaloupe ink. I did slip a bit of Summer Starfruit into my card for the flower centers.
I then cut a 5 inch base using my Naturals card stock and then cut a rectangle in the center to make my frame. The first of a few....lol!!!
I took a piece of card stock and sponged tempting turquoise and coastal cabana across it. I added that piece to the inide of my card behind the rectangle frame.
I had originally thought I would add my flowers to the sponged piece, but changed my mind during the process of putting it all together. I cut a circle and embossed with the square lattice EF, one of my all time fave embossing folders. and then cut and added my flowers to the edge of that with some dimesionals.
The sentiment piece is from the Four You stamp set and is stamped with black stazon and hand cut out making the flag cuts at the end. I then punched a strip of crisp cantaloupe with the Scalloped Ribbon Edge Punch and added that to the sentiment piece.
I then used some pieces of DSP from the Retro Fresh pack to create a "frame" around my card.
I finished it off with a few basic pearls.
I am also entering this one in the SUO Challenge to use new toys.
Hope you enjoy this one.

Such a pretty card, my friend! Love the softness to your coloring and the design. You are the queen of flowers! :)
Gorgeous, Vicki...love your coloring on here and great use of that stamp! I'm finding it a little hard to work with that image, although I love the set. Thanks for playing along with the Fun with New Toys Challenge over on SUO Challenges this week!
