Happy Monday Peeps!!
Hope you all had a great weekend and are ready to tackle another week!
Today I am sharing a card I made yesterday using the sketch this week on the Stamping 411 Blog.
I started out with the image, this fabulous truck from the Stampin Up "Countryside" stamp set.
I stamped the image onto some confetti white card stock with black stazon and colored using my aqua painter and ink pads. I used Island Indigo for the truck.
I thought I might be able to make a masculine card with this image, but in the end I had to go and "girl" it up with the little flowers! I just couldn't help myself, it is just how I roll!!! LOL!!
The base of the card is Island Indigo card stock and then I followed that up with some Pool Party card stock that I embossed using the square lattice EF. The DSP on here, the red and blue are both from the "Summer Smooches" pack.
The sentiment is from the Stampin Up "Petite Pairs" set. I used my circle punches, 1-1/4" and 1-3/8" to punch out the sentiment and for the mat.
So who would get this card, a guy or a girl or could it go either way? Not sure....hmmmm?
Well, that is all from me today, thanks for stopping by today and be sure and leave me a comment, I love hearing from you!
HAPPY STAMPING!!
Vicki
gorgeous Vicky!!
ReplyDeleteLOVE it!!! Shawn's birthday is on Wednesday and i'm sure he wouldn't mind a few flowers on it! LOL Love your truck and your coloring! Looks awesome with that paper!!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! Love the blue and red combo!!! Fabulous colouring too!!! Now I wish I'd ordered that set...darn...hehe~
ReplyDeleteI love this card! Blue & red on cards is one of my favorite combinations. Think it may lean towards a card for a girl, but it could easily be for a guy if you changed the flowers to little stars, maybe? Just a thought. I love the little pop of the flowers though.
ReplyDeleteWOW!!!! This is beautiful. I love how you did the circle with the little flowers. The perfect pop of red. Great card:)
ReplyDeleteYou are KILLING me with this stamp set. Do you know, that when I was on the SU incentive trip to Alaska, we took a train ride and saw this truck on the side of the tracks. I instantly thought of cards I've seen here on your blog. Thanks so much for sharing your talents with us. You should do water color tutorials. You are a master at your craft. thanks so much for sharing.
