Happy Thursday peeps!
Sorry for the lack of posts this week, I have been getting ready for a girls weekend. I am so excited to get away and craft a bit and just enjoy some friends and make a few new ones!
Anyway, on to today's card, I made this one using the sketch this week on the Stamping 411 Blog. I just love the sketches over there and they offer up measurements to help you get started if you need.
I had this card mostly put together and was unhappy with the blank spot at the top. I tried several things and finally decide I would emboss that layer. So I had to take it all apart, but I like the outcome.
As I was looking through my embossing folders, I found this one, I haven't used this one in forever and I think it is perfect for my card. Love how the swirls look on it. This embossing folder is called Elegant Lines.

I used the stamp set "Bordering on Romance". Stamped it onto some confetti cream card stock with black stazon and colored with my aqua painter and ink pads.
The sentiment is from the "Sweetheart" stamp set.
I added some calypso coral ribbon and I used one of the punches from the Itty Bitty Punch pack for my three flowers. I added some basic pearls to the flower centers.
Well, thanks for stopping by and
HAPPY STAMPING!!!

ReplyDeleteWow! Love, love, love the embossed Calypso Coral panel; I must say I haven't thought of embossing that colour card (don't know why!), but it is GORGEOUS. Sounds like you have a super-fun weekend lined up, Vicki - enjoy!

ReplyDeleteMy jaw is on the floor!!! STUNNING!!!
ReplyDeleteEven MORE if an incentive for me to bust this set out of the folder Vicki!! Love it. Calypso has always been a v v brash colour to me, but here it looks so soft and delicate. Truely a magical card. TFS.
ReplyDeleteThe embossing print is giving great look of your card and the Contrast of color is best.
