OCC....Making Melody

Happy Saturday Peeps!!!
It is time for another Our Creative Corner Challenge.
This week our hostess with the mostest is the fabulous Holly Kean and she has a fun challenge for us:

Making Melody" -  Music can be such a motivating thing in life, why not in your papercrafting too? Take inspiration from a song and work it into any papercraft project you'd like. Just make sure your post includes the song title (and if possible the artist) that inspired you!

I wasn't sure what to do with this one, I went looking through my stamp sets to try and find some "song" inspiration when I came across the sentiment from the Stampin Up "Word Play". It made me think of a song I really like by Alan Jackson with this title "Remember When". So I decided to use it since I really had no other idea. I stamped the sentiment with black stazon onto some confetti white card stock. I then decided since the song was about looking back to the past and remembering good and bad times I would  use this vintage looking flower stamp from "Elements of Style". It is a stretch I know but hey I was kinda stumped by this challenge  :)!

I used some rich razzleberry ink and my aqua painter to color my flowers along with some old olive for the leavesd and a bit of daffodil delight for the flower centers. I shaded around the flower with some crumb cake to add to the vintage feel. I added some rich razzleberry satin ribbon to the top corner at an angle and tied a bow. I matted this whole piece onto some razzleberry card stock and then mounted it to the card base.

Be sure to check the Our Creative Corner Blog
to see what the rest of the design team came up with for this fun challenge. I am sure you will find their ideas a bit more "inspired" than mine!!
I hope you can find some time to play along and if you do, don't forget to link it up over on the Our Creative Corner Blog so we can all see it!

Thanks for stopping by today and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!

Oh my goodness Vicki...I love that song! I always smile when it comes on but by the end I am a blubbering mess...crying happy tears. I'm tearing up just thinking about the lyrics. Ahhhh, dang that Alan Jackson! Your card is so full of rich colors and beautiful shading. Satin ribbon is truly the best ever and always creates such perfect bows. Just beautiful! Hope you enjoyed your weekend! Hugs! :)

A total knock-out, Vicki! How gorgeous is that Rich Razzleberry - beautiful coloring job and it just really pops with all the white and just a hint of razzleberry paper mat showing. And that bow - yummy - the PERFECT finisher (and tied so beautifully!!!).

Hope your week is going great.
