Happy Saturday Peeps!!!
It is time for another Our Creative Corner Challenge.
This week I am again your hostess challenge and my challenge to you is:
Paper Piecing, Use some kind of paper piecing on your card or project this week. Stamp something and use DSP to piece an element of the stamp or paper piece you Background. In addition NO ribbon and only one embellishment is allowed.
I decide to "piece" my card. I had been making some quilt cards the last couple of weeks and thought a set would be nice for Valentine's Day.
These cards are 4-1/4 inch squares. I uses some retired Stampin Up paper. I wanted to keep them simple to highlight the "pieced quilt block" which fit the challenge to only use 1 embellishment and NO ribbon.
Each pieced block was embossed using the Vintage Wall Embossing Folder. I used Pretty in Pink, Real Red and Chocolate Chip Card stock.
The sentiment is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set.
The brads are also some Stampin Up retired items.

ReplyDeleteOh My...I have to case this! So pretty!
ReplyDeleteThis is sooo pretty, Vicki! That paper is one of my favorites and what a cool technique. Great texture! I am excited to try it out. Such a fun challenge this week, my friend! (Sorry I flubbed it.) Hope you had a great day today! Big hugs! :)
ReplyDeleteVery cool! I couldn't tell from the other pic how you did this... now I can see the small sections. Great idea, Vicki!
ReplyDeleteWow Vicki, these are totally wonderful. I'm so glad you showed a close up because the patchwork piecing wasn't really noticeable in the smaller photos. What a really cool design and I love the embossing - it just really adds so much punch. Wonderful challenge this week - sorry I flubbed it up. It's been like that all week for me - must slow down and pay attention!
ReplyDeleteHope you had a great weekend.
Hugs,
Linda
