OCC.....gratitude

Good Saturday Morning Peeps!
It is time for another new challenge on the OCC Blog.

Our challenge hostess today is Holly Kean from Kean on Paper and she has a fun challenge for us:

Stamp Happy
Texture can come in many forms.
Use a graphic stamp (or even a few) on patterend paper (sentiments don't count!)

I was a bit perplexed on what to do for this challenge, I wanted to use this new set from the Stampin Up Holiday Mini called "Gently Falling", it is a 2 step stamp set. The solid inside and the outline. I decided to stamp my leaves onto some of the First Edition DSP.  I stamped the solid leaves with More Mustard and rolled it with some Cajun Craze ink, I then stamped the outline stamp with Early espresso ink. I then cut them out to mount to the card.
The base of the card is Earrly Espresso card stock and then I followed that with some Pool Party card stock that I embossed with the square lattice EF. If you notice I got the card stock in the EF slightly crooked, but I didn't notice till I was putting it all together, so I just left it.
The DSP across the bottom is from the new Spice Cake paper pack. I used some of the Spice Cake Designer Fabric and one of the Spice Cake Designer Buttons. I tore a strip of the fabric and wrapped it around the card and threaded it up through two of the holes in the big button and ties it in a knot.
I cut the circle and scallop circle with my nesties using more More Mustard and Very Vanilla card stock. I added the leaves to the card with some dimesionals. The little sentiment flag is made with a stamp from the "Fabulous Phrases" stamp set. I added two small brads to the top corners.

Be sure to check the Our Creative Corner Blog to see what the rest of the design team came up with for this fun  challenge. I hope you can find some time to play along and if you do don't forget to link it up over on the Our Creative Corner Blog so we can all see it!

Thanks for stopping by today and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!

I gotta say, Vicki, lately I am saving so many of your card ideas to CASE after things settle down at my house!! I love this card and basically everything you've made with the spice cake dp. You've also convinced me that I "need" a few sets from the holiday mini that I wasn't thinking about!! :)

So sorry I didn't make it by last week, Vicki, but I could't leave without telling you how fabulous I think this card is. It had a real "WOW" impact on me when I first saw it. I am in love with those leaves - really spectacular job in combining colors, patterns and stamps. And the ripped fabric is sensational - all in all a sensational piece of work!

Hugs,
Linda
