SSSC114.....Just for You
HAPPY EASTER PEEPS!!! It's Sunday which means it is time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch Sample This is the fabulous sketch Karen has for us this week;
I have to say these are the kinds of sketches that make me cringe. I want layers baby!!! I always struggle with the sketches that have less layering. When I first got the Paisley Patterns DSP, I shied away from the bold prints and used the side of the paper with the small more muted prints, but I decided to go bold with this sketch. I wanted to highlight one of the patterns as the main image. I used bashful blue card stock for my base and then followed with some bravo burgundy card stock. I then added the DSP and a piece of bravo burgundy that was embossed with the square lattice EF. I pulled out my Stampin Up four Frames stamp set and stamped one of the frames with bravo burgundy ink onto some very vanilla card stock. I used the decorative label punch to punch it out. The sentiment is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set. I added a flower made with the flower fusion die in bashful blue and a couple of little flowers punched with the itty bitty punch pack. I cut a couple of little leaves from the DSP too. The pearls are kaiser silver pearls, (the look gray to me tho) that I had in my stash.
Not my favorite card ever but It'll do! LOL!!
I hope you can find some time to play along with us this week, I would love to see what you come up with, create a card or scrapbook page with this sketch and then go to Karen's blog and link up your project for all of us to see.
OK, let's see what the rest of the Sweet Sunday Sketch Team has in store for us this week:
