OCC....Tea"rific"

Good Morning Peeps!! It is Saturday and that means it is time for another new challenge at Our Creative Corner.

This week our challenge hostess is Sharon Wheet from Designs by Sharon, and her challenge for us this week is - It's a Tea Party! Create a card, 3-D project, scrapbook page, etc. Make your item around afternoon tea/tea party theme! Get creative, and at most, have fun! Get out those adorable stamps with tea pots/tea cups, your doilies, all things that scream 'afternoon tea'!

What a fun challenge and even tho I am not really much of a tea drinker I knew right away that I wanted to make a tea bag holder and use the Stampin' Up Morning Cup set.

I started with a piece 3-1/2 inch by 10-1/2 inch of baja card stock. I scored at 3-1/2 and 7. I cut the panel piece on the right side at an angle, see inside picture.

I used some score tape to hold the angled piece down just taping along the bottom edge. This is where the tea bag slides in, I didn't have any tea bags here for my picture but you get the idea.

The front piece is decorated with a tea cup and tea pot that I paper pieced. I used DS paper from the Springtime Vintage paper pack. the sentiment is stamped with black stazon and I used very vanilla satin ribbon to hold it closed. I also used some not quite navy brads in the corners. I decorated the inside with another stamp from the same set and colored that in with my aqua painter.

I hope you’ll play along this week and have fun with this challenge! Be sure to check out the rest of the OCC design team creations! To play along, upload your creation to your blog or gallery, then leave a comment linking to your project over at Our Creative Corner so we can check it out. If you upload to SCS, remember to use keyword: OCCC.

Well, that is all from me for now, Thanks for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!
Vicki

Couldn't find an e-mail addy for you so posting here. Can you please let me know where you got your quilling tool from and whether it is a needle or slot one. Went to Michael's today and they no longer carry them - ugh! Thanks :)

I love this, Vicki! The colors are so soft but the NQNavy gives a lovely contrast and makes the colors look so clean. I love it. Love the paper piecing and the pretty bow!
