OCC...ATC's
Good Morning Peeps!! It is Saturday and that means it is time for another new challenge at Our Creative Corner.
This week our challenge hostess is Rebecca Ednie from Eclectic Endeavours and her challenge for us is:
Let's make ATCs! These mini pieces of art measure 2.5x3.5" and are fun and quick to make! Show us your ATC as is or incorporate it into another project. Here's the Twist. You have to use Kraft plus cream or white, black or chocolate and ONLY ONE other main colour.
I chose to incorporate my ATC into my card and show it to you that way. The ATC is easy to spot on here, it is the middle piece. I had never made an ATC until this challenge, so be easy on me. I too, mis-read the instructions, (Hey, it happens!), when making mine ATC. So when I started making this I thought I needed to use cream, my watercolor paper, and to use Kraft or chocolate or black, but it really was yo use Kraft plus chocolate or black. But by the time I realized my mix-up I wasn't in the mood to start over, so my black comes in the form of the stamped outline of the flowers and leaves. Sorry about that, but after the week I have had it just has to be that way! LOL!!!
My one color on here is Pacific Point, love that color! My base is crumb cake and then I used pacific point for the next layer. I embossed that layer with the tulip frame EF. The middle piece or the ATC is made up Crumb Cake, Pacific Point and my water colored piece. I added the flower heads to the piece with some foam tape. The flowers are from the Stampin' Up Sweet Summer stamp set. The sentiment is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set. I used a bunch of small silver pearls on the flowers and added some very vanilla seam binding ribbon.
I hope you’ll play along this week and have fun with this challenge! Be sure to check out the rest of the OCC design team creations! To play along, upload your creation to your blog or gallery, then leave a comment linking to your project over at Our Creative Corner so we can check it out. If you upload to SCS, remember to use keyword: OCCC.
Well, that is all from me for now, Thanks for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!
Vicki
Gorgeous! Love those colours!
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend my friend!
These colors are beautiful! I have not yet inked up this stamp set. Everything I have seen with it I have loved and your card is no exception to that rule.
ReplyDeleteSo pretty - I love your flowers and your colors! I have yet to stamp with that set as well. What's up with that? Your card is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! This is SO pretty. I LOVE these colors and your coloring is fabulous!! You always KILL me with your SU goodness. Just when I think I don't need to order anything else, you force me to add something else to my wish list!
ReplyDeleteAnother lovely piece of work, Vicki! The colors are just fabulous and I had to laugh at your post about leaving out the black. I had a design all worked up for my ATC and was just sitting down to make it when for some reason I checked the challenge details and realized I had totally forgotten it was a COLOR challenge also! Eeek, I almost made it completely different colors - LOL. The Pacific Point you used works so nicely with the kraft and the cream. Love your popped up flowers too!
ReplyDeleteHope you are having a great weekend.
Hugs,
Linda
This is GORGEOUS! I love pacific point too! For not making a ATC before, you did an awesome job! I can't believe I haven't got this stamp set yet, it is so pretty, I guess I better get an order in before SAB is over!
ReplyDeletelol - I think the black outlines count! gorgeous ATC, such a perfect size for those smaller stamps, right?
ReplyDeleteHi Vicki- nice job with the ATC challenge! I love the delicate look of your stamping and the soft colors. The embossing on the card is great too!
