Happy Hump Day Peeps!!!
Today I am sharing a card I made with Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge. I know I said yesterday that I might not post much this week, but after taking a long walk and then coming home and checking out Mercy's sketch I was inspired to make this card. I think I misspoke yesterday when I said I haven't had the WANT to create, truthfully the WANT is still there it is just the ability to make something acceptable. I think they go hand in hand tho, and I think maybe it is best to not push this kinda thing, the more bad things I make the more I don't want to try.
Any way I do kinda like this card. I used some whisper white for the base and the DS paper is the retired, I got a pack from the Clearance Rack recently, Georgia Peach. I matted each layer with regal rose card stock. The stamps used on this card come from the "Great Friend" and the "Baroque Motif" I stamped the swirl with regal rose after stamping off once. The sentiment is stamped with black stazon over the swirl. The old olive panel under the circle piece is embossed with EF. I used some regal rose ribbon to make the bow. I added a little decorative pin through the bow. I finished it off with a couple of small butterflies in so saffron with tiny little pearls in the center of each one.
Well, thanks so much for coming by and thank you to all who sent e-mails and commented about how they would miss me if I don't post for awhile. It really lifted my spirits. HAPPY STAMPING!!!
Vicki

ReplyDeleteHi Vicky,
ReplyDeleteJust wanted you to know how much I enjoy your blog. It is usually my first blog stop of the day! I would hate for you to not post on your blog anymore or even for one day. I look to your blog daily for some inspiration and have never been disappointed. Keep creating!
This is so gorgeous Vicki! Love the colors, all the layers and the sentiment stamped over the baroque motif! Great card!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous card. I love the DSP you used. And the added touch of the butterflies and the pin is just awesome. TFS yet another awesome card. Don't stop creating.
ReplyDeleteI totally know what you are saying about the want and ability to create. I've been having a hard time myself lately but I'm finding CASEing others (such as yourself) is helping bring back my own ability. I have to say though, this card is really gorgeous and I never would have thought you were having difficulties creating!
ReplyDeleteVicki, I LOVE your card! That paper was a FAVE of mine from SU!! Especially that checkers pattern...hehe!
ReplyDeletesorry to hear that you haven't felt like stamping or having mojo. We all get like that and I'd totally miss seeing your beautiful creations!
