One Sheet Merry & Bright Bag
Happy Thursday Morning Peeps!!! Another cold day here, tonight is the Webb City Christmas parade, but with temps in the upper 20's, I think I will stay home with a cup of hot cocoa and sit at my stamping table and work on some fun card or project and watch Ugly Betty and Grays Anatomy. How about you?
Yesterday on my friend Lois' blog she posted a cute little top note bag. Isn't is adorable?
So it got me wanting to make another bag.
I found a video tutorial on how to fold this one sheet bag. It has no cuts, it is all in the folding. It is a bit tricky, I watched the video about 10 times and still had a hard time, but finally it clicked, well sorta of, and I got it to come together. I used the ski slope DS paper again, love it! I cut my paper to be 8 1/2 x 11 inches and scored like it said in the video and then used sticky tape to hold it all together, side note, if you are going to make one of these and punch a circle in the top, do that before you tape it all together, because we all know that you can't punch through several layers of paper at one time.
I used the snowman from the Big on Christmas set, I just inked up the center of the stamp where the snowman is and stamped on some whisper white cardstock, I colored his hat and nose in with my markers and used a blender pen to color the hatband in with some baja breeze ink from my ink pad. I cut him out and mounted him with some dimensionals onto a 1 3/8 inch circle and mounted that on to a scallop circle. I used the Merry & Bright set for my sentiment. Tied it all up with some baja and sheer white ribbon and tied on the sentiment with some silver cording. Isn't it cute?
Here is a side view of the bag:
Now what to fill this with? Any suggestions?
Hope you all have a super great day and have some stamping time! Bye for now.

this is adorable, Vicki! And way to go getting it done...you would think having a video to watch woud be easy peasy, but I've found that's not always the case. Now I'm gonna have to check it out.
very cute there Miss Vicki. Ya know now I'm gonna have to dig out some holiday papers I have and try this. HUMMMMM so many projects..so little time.]
Very cute.....Videos don't usually work for me as my computer is on the first floor and my stampin room is on the second floor....I'm trying not to let the stampin stuff take over the house. :) I might precut some paper and try it in front of the computer.
Too cute...I'll have to try this one too! I better leave your blog or I'll be up all night trying new things LOL!!!
