Desktop Card Calendar

Good Morning Peeps! Last week I saw
this desktop calendar on Cambria's Blog and thought it was awesome and I knew I wanted to make one and then yesterday I saw this one on Dawn's blog and that cinched it, I printed out the calendar and last night I made my own!

They are really fun and go together very quickly once you figure out the design you want and colors and paper. I spent at least a couple of hours on this project, maybe more, but once the basics are decided upon, it would be a fairly fast project.

I started out by stamping the four images from SU's A Flower for All Season's Stamp set on watercolor paper. I then colored them in with my blender pen and ink from the ink pads. I suppose I should have picked my DS paper first and then colored the images accordingly, but I am always kinda backwards when doing my first project of any kind!

After they had all been colored in I used my circle nestiabilities to cut out the four images and then the scallop nesties for the chocolate chip layer. I used a half sheet of kraft paper for my base and layered on a 1/4 inch smaller piece of chocolate chip cardstock. I then went in search of some DS paper to use on each seperate season's. I used a piece from the Bella Rose DS pack for the January through March side. The paper on the April through June side is from the Washington Apple pack, as is the October through December side. The paper from the July through September side is from the Ski Slope pack. I used half pearls to decorate the pages and on the flowers for the Winter and Summer months. This desk calendar is all on a half sheet of cardstock, just the same size as a regular size card. It is really a neat project. I made my stand the way Cambria did hers instead of the way the original design was made with ribbon. You could add alot more embellishments depending on your taste. I kept my first one simple but on the next I might add some ribbon or brads or something. Here is the last side of the calendar:

This would be a great stamp camp project, don't you think?

Well that's all for today, hope ya'll have some stamping time today! Thanks for stopping by!
