3 Sketch Cards and Yes another Box!

Good Monday Morning Peeps. I have alot to share with you today, so let's get to it!

My first card is made with the sketch on
Jen Del Muro's Blog. I found this really nice paper at Michael's this weekend. It is a Martha Stewart Pack, and it has some really pretty gold, silver and bronze paper along with the green which is a Martha Stewart signature color I think. The best part the pack was on sale so I was able to get it for only $6.99. I really love the colors in the pack. I teamed this sheet up with some SU brushed gold. The paper is double sided, so the BG is just the opposite side of the piece i used with the top not die. Not alot of stamping but I really like the cards I made with this sketch. Here is another version with the same papers:

The sentiment is different and I used some stars as the accent instead of snowflakes and on the side piece of this one I punched a design with another MS punch.
The sentiments are from the SU sets Snow Swirled and A Cardinal Christmas, both are stamped on PTI white cardstock and embossed with gold embossing powder.

This next card is made with the sketch on Our Creative Corner.

When I saw the sketch I knew I wanted to use this stamp from the SU set Christmas Classics. The card really didn't come together like I envisioned, but it is alright I suppose.

I wanted to make a really cool element on the bow with some fun silver metallic pipe cleaners and some real jingle bells, just couldn't get it to come together like I wanted, but again it is alright. Here is a close up of the bow:

And finally another one of the long treat box like I showed you in my last post and the measurements.

To make this box, start with a sheet of card stock 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 inches. Score on the long side at 1 1/4, 2 1/2, 3 3/4, and 5 inches. Score on the short side at 1 1/4 and turn to other short end and score at 1 3/4 and 1/2 inches. Now I hope I can explain this part, on the side with the small score, the 1/2 inch long piece, cut away the top two scored pieces and the bottom scored piece. Next score over only cut away the very top scored piece. The next don't cut away any, and then the next piece cut away the top scored piece and the last one, cut away the top two scored pieces. So the bottom only has the one piece cut off and the top has more cut off. Can you see the shape yet? The bottom is taped close and the top is folded shut. You may want to use your corner rounder punch and round the top three pieces, it makes it easier to close. Is this all clear as mud? Let me know if you have any questions and I'll try to explain better. This box is NOT my original, I saw it somewhere during the summer and I just jotted down the dimensions.

That's all for today. Thanks for stopping by and Happy Stamping!

Vicki

  2. I love to read your blog. I've only just found it. I've been stamping/scrapbooking for a long time and just became a SU demonstrator...more for personal use than anything, but just now started a blog for it. There are some super cute FREE backgrounds that are very scrappy that you may enjoy. Check out www.thecutestblogontheearth.com.
