Freshly Made sketches.....Birthday Wishes

Happy Wednesday Peeps!!!

Today I am sharing a card I made using the sketch this week at Freshly Made Sketches.

What a fun sketch, I had a blast with this one.

I started with a base of Thick Whisper White card stock.

I then used a piece of DSP from the Neutrals pad, then another layer of thick whipser white card stock.

For one of the two circle elements of the sketch I first just cut a small white circle and used a stencil and some Soft Sky ink. I then cut another circle using some basic black card stock.
I then cut a small strip of gold glimmer paper to lay across between the two circle elements.

Next up is my fave element, the flower of course.

I stamped the flower from the Crazy About You stamp set three times with Calypso Coral.
I fussy cut out and layered it up cutting away a layer of petals each time.
I stacked the layers together using some dimensionals.
I stamped the leaves using some Pear Pizzazz and fussy cut them out as well.
I used a couple of glue dots to attach the leaves to the glimmer paper and then more dimensionals to attach the flower.
I used a enamel dot in the center of the flower.

The sentiment comes from the Endless Birthday Wishes stamp set.

Freshly Made Sketches.......Happy Birthday

Happy Sunday Peeps!!!

Popping in here quickly to share a card I made using the sketch this week at Freshly Made Sketches.

I decided to do another water colored BG for my card.

I started with a piece of water color paper. I taped it down to my water color board and begin to color it up
I used some Melon Mambo and Pumpkin Pie and lots of water.

I dried this piece with my heat tool and then dropped a bunch of water on the dried piece to get the splatters. I let it set for a few then used a paper towel to pick of the drops. I love this fun effect and it is so easy to achieve.

I used the two colors to represent the two shades in the sketch.
I used my Botanical Builders dies to create my floral piece.
I used some scraps from my scrap pile for this. I used Coral, Mossy Meadow, Pumpkin Pie and white card stock
The sentiment is from the Rose Wonder set.
I added a few rhinestones around to finish it up.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Just Add Ink.....Happy Birthday Rose

Happy Sunday Peeps!!!

Today I am sharing a card I made using the sketch this week at Just Add Ink.

I love a good sketch challenge and this is a cool one.

I dove right in and pulled out some Crumb Cake to use for my base.
The next layer is also Crumb Cake that I stamped the a wood grain background onto.

The DSP I used is from the now retired Watercolor Wonder pack.

I cute a few Roses using the rose Wonder die cuts and stacked them up and glued together.
I then laid one layer of the negative pieces back into the rose stack and then taped them down from the back. This piece is added to the white piece with dimensionals.
I de cut a few leaves from the same die using gold foil and Old Olive paper..

The sentiment is from the Rose Wonder set as well and is stamped with Black ink onto the Wood grain piece.
I added a strip of gold foil .paper too the top if the white piece

I colored in all the negative pieces of the rose using my Wink of Stella pen. I seriously love that pen and use it all the time, it sadly does not show in my pics tho.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.

Freshly Made Sketch......Thank You

Happy Thursday Peeps!!!

Today I am sharing a card I made using the sketch this week at Freshly Made Sketches:

What a fun sketch, love the layers!

I started with a base of Basic Black and then a layer of white followed by another layer of Basic Black.

The DSP on here is from the Go Wild pad and the Neutrals pad.

I used the flower from the You've Got This stamp set. I stamped with Black Stazon and then colored with my aqua painter and ink pads.  I used Peekaboo Peach and Tangerine Tango with a bit of Crushed Curry. The leaves are from the same set and are colored with Old Olive ink. I fussy cut the images out and added to the card using dimensionals.

The sentiment is from the Gifts of Love Hostess set. I stamped with black onto my white square layer. I used some Gold Foil paper to mat this piece. I added a small strip of gold along the side as well. I used my Wink of Stella pen to cover the flower and leaves too.
I finished off with a few gold sequins.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Freshly Made Sketches.....thinking of you

Hello Peeps!!!!

Today I am sharing a card I made using the sketch this week at Freshly Made Sketches.

I used the flower image from the Stampin Up Birthday Blooms stamp set. I colored it using the new in color Sweet Sugarplum. I used Old Olive for the leaves and Crushed Curry for the stamens. I fussy cut it out and  sit aside to make the rest of the card.

The blue panel I made using some watercolored paper and a couple of colors, I used Pool Party and Pacific Point, I wet my water color paper and then using a wide brush added my ink, drying in between colors with my heat tool.
I then added lots of drops of water and let them set a bit before dabbing off with a paper towel. .

I glued this piece to my white card base.
The flower is added to the card using several dimensionals.
I added some silver thread before adding the flower and then a few silver sequins.

The sentiment is from the Smarty Pants set.

Thanks for stopping by today.
