Paper Players.......Happy Birthday

Happy Monday  Peeps!!

Today I sharing a card I made using the challenge this week at The Paper Players.

This week it is  a Tic Tac Toe Challenge:

I went with the top line: Yellow, Twine and Birthday.

I, of course, have a few other colors going on besides the yellow. I do have to say I used the Botanical Builder framelits again for this car and I am totally obsessed with them. You all know how I love making flower cards and with these framelits you can easily make gorgeous cards without much stamping.

I die cut my flowers using white card stock and then sponged on Daffodil Delight. I really like the look with the white around the edges.

I also used the Rose Garden thinlits for leaves. I used Gold Foil and Pear Pizzazz card stock for them.
The sentiment is from the Rose Wonder set.
I added some white twine across the bottom and tied a bow.
I added a few white enamel dots on the flowers and scattered around the card.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.

Just Add Ink.....Black Eye Susans

Happy Sunday Peeps!!!

Today I am sharing a card I made with the challenge this week at Just Add Ink.

They have a fun challenge and it is: Just Add  "B". It could be whatever you want that begins with a "B" as the main focus of your card.

I choose this great stamp from the Stampin Up Helping Me Grow stamp set for my "B" and I colored them to be Black Eye Susans.

I watercolored my entire card using my Tim Holtz Distress Inks.
I love coloring with these inks.

I stamped the image onto some water color paper with Black Stazon ink.

I then taped the piece down to my water color board using some painter's tape. That is the white "frame" you see.
I colored the flowers and stems first and made sure they were dry before moving onto the background. I used a couple of colors and blended as I went along being careful to not get the flower portion wet.

I used my heat tool to dry as I went along.
I added the sentiment and corner frames using black memento ink after all was dry.

This main panel was then glued to my card base.

I used my Wink of Stella brush on the flowers, it does not show in the pic but adds just a nice shimmer.

Freshly Made Sketches.......thanks

Happy Saturday Peeps!!

Today I am sharing a card I made using the sketch this week at Freshly Made Sketches.

I started out with a base of Crumb Cake cardstock. I then layered another piece of Crumb cake onto some Basic Black card stock.
I used the Botanical Builders Framelits to make my pretty flower, I just love these flower dies. I used Calypso Coral card stock to die cut the flower. I added a basic black center. The leaves are cut using Old Olive card stock.

I die cut a piece of gold foil paper using a retired doily die. I slipped that under the sentiment panel which is crumb cake card stock as well.
I added a small piece of DSP under the sentiment for some added interest.
The sentiment is from the Cottage Greetings stamp set.
I added a rhinestone to the flower center and a few tiny pearls all around.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Paper Players....Congratulations

Happy Friday Peeps!!

Today I am sharing a card I made using the sketch this week at The Paper Players.

I started off with a base of White card stock.

I used a swirl die from the Swirly Scribbles Thinlits Dies. I used Pool Party to make background swirl.
I glued this swirl directly to the white base.

I stamped the flower image from one of the new upcoming Hostess sets called Gift of Love onto some scrap white. I then colored using Pink  Falmingo Ink and Old Olive ink and my water brush,

I fussy cut out the image and added it to my card using a bunch of dimensionals.

The sentiment is from the Timeless Love stamp set.  I stamped with Black Memento ink.

I added a butterfly from the Butterfly basics stamp set. I used Daffodil Delight ink and fussy cut out.

I glued it onto my scribble circle and added a few little rhinestones.

SIP........Happy Birthday

Hello Peeps!!!

The challenge this week at Stamps, Ink, Paper is a flower challenge:

How could I resist?

I had this flower from the Rose Wonder set colored up earlier this week but had not made it into a card. I pulled it out to use for this challenge, I used the new in color Peekaboo Peach along wth some Cajun Craze and Whisper White Craft ink to color my flower. I love the chalk effect that the craft ink brings to the look when appled with my aqua painter.  I also worked in a bit of Daffodil Delight.

I fussy cut out the flower and then die cut a couple of leaves with the matching dies to use.

My base s Sahara Sand and then a layer of White and another layer of Sahara.

I used a bit of DSP from the Go Wild pad and a pretty doily to showcase my rose.

The sentiment is from the Cottage Greetings stamp set.

Thanks for stopping by.

I'd Be Lost Without You

Hello Peeps!

Today I sharing a card I made using the challengethis week at Inspired by All the Little Things.

I love the colors in this image and used them for the inspiration for my card.

I am playing with the new Stampin Up Swirly Bird set and one of the new in colors, Dapper Denim.

I also used white and Pool Party.

I love this little sailboat and I also think it fits the inspiration photo as it reminds me of a quaint little foreign costal town where you might see many sailboats.

I used the retired cloudy day embossing folder, I thought it was the perfect backdrop for my tiny sailboat.

The swirl was cut with daffodit delight card stock and makes a cute little sun for my summer scene.

The waves ae cut with Pool party card stock using another die in the Swirly bundle.

I stamped a sentiment from the Cottage Greetings set using Dapper Denim.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Happiest of Birthdays to You

Happy Thursday Peeps!

Today I am sharing a card I made with a few challenges.

First up I used the sketch this week at Freshly Made Sketches

I also used the color challenge this week at Stamp Ink Paper Challenge.

The base of my card is Chocolate Chip card stock and then I used a strip of DSP from the Neutrals paper pad.  I followed that up with a piece of thick white card stock.

You know how the swirl of twine, jute or thread behind the elements on a card is trendy right now? I love the look but have not been very successful at getting my attempts to look right. It came to me when looking at the new Swirly Bird stamp set, that I could die cut a swirl and lay it down to sort of mimic that look.  Much easier for me anyway and I like the look.

I die cut the large swirl in the die set using Pool Party card stock and glued it down to the center of my thick white card stock.

I used the Botanical die set for my flowers, I used Calypso Coral, Pool Party and white along with some Mossy Meadow for the leaves.
I embellished the flowers with some rhinestones and some enamel dots from the It's My Party pack.

The sentiment is from the Birthday Blooms stamp set and is stamped using Chocolate Chip ink.

Gonna leave you with another pic of our sweet little Audrey, a collage pic from her 1 month photo session

Thanks for stopping by today!

Swirly Birthday Wishes

Hello Peeps!!

Today I am sharing another card I made while playing with the new Stampin Up
Swirly Bird set.

I had seen the swirl die cut used to make a wreath and I wanted to give it a whirl. :)

I decided to use Early Espresso to make a "grapevine" wreath.
I glued the wreath down and then stamped a few flowers using the small flowers in this set. I used the new in color Flirty Flamngo I stamped once and then another time without reinking to get the two colors.
I die cut a few leaves using the new Emerald Envy card stock.

I added the flowers to the wreath using some dimensionals.
The wreath piece was matted with some Flirty Flamingo card stock and added to the base with more dimensionals.

I added a few rhinestones to the flower centers. The sentiment is from the Build a Birthday stamp set.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.

Baby Audrey will be 1 month old tomorrow:

Sweetest Baby ever!!

SIP One Element......Heartfelt Sympathy

Hello Peeps!

Today I sharing a card I made using the challenge this week at Stamp Ink Paper.

This was a fun challenge, a One element Wonder. I pulled out my neglected You've Got this Stamp set from Stampin Up and paired it with one of the new in colors.

I stamped the flower with Black Stazon onto some thick white card stock and colored with my aqua painter using the Peekaboo Peach ink pad. I used some daffodil Delight for the center and Old Olive for the leaves and stems. I used my Clear Wink of Stella Pen to add some shimmer to the flower, I love the look you get with this pen, it does not show in the pic, but is really nice in person.

I stamped the BG image from the same set using Soft Sky ink.
I fussy cut the flower and added it to the panel with dimensionals.

The sentiment is from a retired Stampin Up set called Close As A Memory.
I matted this panel with a piece of Peekaboo Peach Card stock.
All of the new in colors are awesome and I can not choose a fave.

I finished it up with three small rhinestones.

Thanks for stopping by today!!

Freshly Made Sketch.....Swirly Flowers

Happy Saturday Peeps!!!

Today I am sharing a card I made using the sketch this week at Freshly Made Sketches.

This is a great sketch by the fabulous Rita Wright, I love it!!

I had just got my pre-order earlier in the week from the new Stampin Up catalog.

This set Swirly Birds was on my list when I first saw it in the new catalog and I was thrilled to see it available on our pre-order.

I also love the new in colors and I used every one of them on this card. The Dapper Denim is just splattered on the white piece but it is there and it was fun to use all of them on this card.

I started the card with a base of white and then laid down a piece of DSP down the side from the Go Wild paper stack.

I then added a strip of basic black across the bottom. I embossed the sentiment from the Butterfly Basics stamp set using white embossing powder.

I then cut another piece of white and splattered it with a bit of the Dapper Denim ink.

The flowers are die cut using Peekaboo Peach, Flirty Flamingo and Sweet Sugarplum. I die cut the leaves using Emerald Envy, I hand cut some watercolor paper and washed it with the same ink as the flowers and popped the swirl die cut onto the watercolored piece.

I finished it up with a few Basic rhinestones.

Paper Players......I Miss You

Happy Tuesday Peeps

Today I am sharing a card I made using the challenge this week at The Paper Players.

This week they have a lovely color challenge:

Beautiful pastel color pallet,
I did use a bit of Strawberry Slush ink on my Pink Pirouette flower. I did try it with just Pink on Pink as the other flowers are but the Pink Pirouette ink did just not show well on the Pink Pirouette card stock. The other two flower look well with the same color ink on the cardstock.

I used this awesome Hero Arts set called You're So Lovely with the matching dies. I love this set.

The base of the card is PTI white card stock followed by a layer of Crumb Cake and then a layer of DSP that is from the Go Wild paper stack.

The sentiment is from the same stamp set. I finished the card up with a few silver pearls, non SU

I have another pic of Audrey to share, hope you are not tired of these:

Inspiration......Happy Birthday to you

Happy Monday Peeps!!!

Today I am sharing a card I made using a new (to me) challenge.

I took my inspiration from the colors in the cute little cupcakes.

I started by coloring the pretty flower from the Stampin Up Birthday Blooms stamp set,

I colored using Real Red and Cherry Cobbler for the flower and the leaves are colored with Wild Wasabi and Garden Green.

I fussy cut the image out and set aside to make the rest of the card.

The base of the card is Basic Black card stock followed by a layer of Cherry Cobbler card stock.
I used a piece of Whisper White Thick card stock and stenciled with Marina Mist ink. I used a Tim Holtz stencil.

The sentiment is from the Party Pants stamp set which was a special Sale-A-Bration set and I stamped with Black Memento Ink.
I added the flower to this piece with dimensionals. I added a small strip of Black and white DSP from the Neutrals pack. I then added a few silver *non SU pearls and a little twine bow. I then covered all of the flowers on here with my wink of stella pen giving it such a nice glittery glow. Which does not show on camera :(

Happy Birthday

Happy Friday peeps!

Yesterday evening I took a few minutes to make this card, I used the sketch this week at Freshly Made Sketches:

and I also took a peek at the challenge this week at Stamp Paper Ink Challenge Blog, which was a fun tic-tac-toe challenge:

I went with the flowers, Birthday and Black, hope I have enough black on my card.

I pulled out a color I seldom use, Sahara Sand for the base and inner layer.
I paired this up with some Elegant Eggplant and Daffodil Delight flowers made with the Stampin Up Botanical Builder thinlits, I am loving these thinlits, you all know that flowers are my thing and these dies make some really pretty flowers and leaves.

The sentiment is a Lawn Fawn die.
