Sweet Sunday.....Brew Up Some Fun

Happy Sunday Peeps!!

Here is the sweet sketch Karen has for us this week:

As you can see I changed things up just a bit. I made a square card and made my circle a bit bigger. I wanted to use this fun A La Mode Stamp from My Favorite Things, which I was gifted by the sweet Karen Giron. Thanks so much Karen!! I love Halloween, it is about my favorite Holiday to create for.

I stamped the cute little witch onto some Paper Trey White card stock with Memento Black ink and colored with my copic markers. I cut the circle out with my MFT Pierced Circle Stax die. The sentiment banner is also cut with a die from the MFT Blueprints 13, which was also a gift from the sweet Jackie Pedro. I am so loving all my new goodies!! I added a die cut spider to the sentiment which is also another MFT die, I picked up last year called Paper Bag Peek a Boos.

The base of the card is Pumpkin Pie card stock. then a layer of Basic Black and the DSP is from a retired pack.  I cut the prongs off of three sparkly silver brads and added them to the edge using some crystal effects.

SplitCoast Color Challenge.....Very Merry Christmas

Happy Tuesday Peeps!

I had a little bit of time this morning to play, so I decided to check out the color challenge this week on Splitcoast

Old Olive, Calypso Coral and Lost Lagoon. Not your traditional colors for a Christmas card but since I had this set, Joyful Christmas, out I decided to use it. I love this color combo!

I started by stamping my Poinsettia onto some watercolor paper a couple of times, I also stamped three leaves to color as well. The flower was colored using only calypso Coral ink. The leaves are colored with Old Olive. I cut out the poinsettia base and then the second layer is the same flower just cutting off the outside leaves of the flower. I added the center to the base with a dimensional. I glues the three leaves around the bottom of the flower.

The base of the card is Old Olive card stock, then a layer of white. The next is Lost Lagoon that I embossed with the Snow Burst EF. I was originally going to make my card a 5 inch square but then realized I could not emboss the Lost Lagoon piece fully, so I just trimmed it down a bit. The card is now a 4-1/2 inch square.
I added some retired white satin ribbon across the bottom and tied a bow. The sentiment is from the Endless Wishes stamp set and is stamped with Black Memento ink onto a scrap of the water color paper and then curled and added to the base. I finished this card with some gold pearls, non SU, in the flower center and the top corner.

Sweet Sunday.....Birthday Wishes

Happy Sunday Peeps!!

Here is the sweet sketch Karen has for us this week:

I started off with a base of Crumb Cake card stock. I stamped the white dots using some white craft ink and the retired Polka Dot BG stamp.

The little square at the top is made up of gold foil paper and gold velum both from Stampin Up.
I got some new goodies sent to me this week by a very generous sweet friend and I wanted to use this rose right away. I used some Stampin Up Hello Honey card stock to cut the pretty roses, which are from My Favorite Things and is called Mini Hybrid Rose. Isn't is so sweet?!!
The Swirls and Leaves are also a MFT die and I used them to represent the strip across the panel in the sketch. I strayed just a bit by adding a few extra flowers! But I could not help myself, they are so cute!!

The sentiment is from the Wetlands stamp set.

Merry Monday.....Joyful Christmas

Happy Hump Day Peeps!!

Today I am sharing a card I made using the Merry Monday Challenge this week.

Use Black, gold and Silver! I knew I want to play along this week when I took a peek at the challenge. I love these colors for Christmas, well the gold and silver and with the added black I thought it would be fun!

When I thought about what to do for my card, well let me say what I finished up with is NOT what I started out with but I do like my finished card so I guess that is all that matters in the end!! LOL!!

The base of the card is Basic Black and then I used a layer of the SU silver foil paper and then another layer of black.
I stamped the poinsettia flower from the Joyful Christmas with my Gold and Silver Encore pads onto black card stock. I cut them out and layered them up putting a dimensional between the large and small layers.

I added some gold little pearls to the center and cut a few swirls and leaves with the gold foil to tuck in around the flower.
The sentiment is from the same set and I stamped it with Silver ink.
I made my ribbon treatment with the 1/8 inch silver ribbon and added a couple of frosted jungle bells. I  attached then to the bow with some silver wire. I curled the wire around a small wooden skewer to make the curls.
This card with definitely need to be hand delivered or I may need to make a special envelope/box for it.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Sweet Sunday....Happy Halloween

Happy Sunday Peeps!!

Here is the sweet sketch Karen has for us this week:

Is it too early for a Halloween card? I hope not!!
Little background on my card this week, I was chatting with a friend on the internet last week and she showed me a cute card on Pintrest that used the cute little witch image you see on my card. I fell in love with it. My friend said she had the image to use on her Silhouette Cameo. So she cut me out a few and mailed them to me. So I had to use it on this weeks card.
I pulled out some retired SU Halloween DSP called Witches Brew and used it for my color pallet.
The base of the card is Pumpkin Pie card stock and then a layer of Basic Black and then a piece of DSP from the pack. Next up is more black and then more DSP. The main image is mounted with some dimensionals onto very vanilla card stock and then matted with pumpkin pie card stock.

I made a rolled rose using pumpkin pie card stock using my Sizzix 3-D flower die. The swirls and leafs come from a MFT die. The sentiment is from the SU retired All Holidays stamp set.
I finished it all of with a few gold brads.

Baby Plaque for Isaiah

Yesterday I attended a Baby Shower for a co-worker and this plaque was part of my gift.

I CASED this from Stampin Up catalog.
I did used a different frame and papers but the rest is the same as the one pictured in the catalog.

The name is made using the Skinny Alphabet stamp set. I used Pool Party ink for that and drew a light line so I could line it up. This stamp set is a clear polymer set so that makes it very easy.
The animals come from the Zoo Review stamp set. The elephant is stamped with Slate Gray, the Lion is Daffodil Delight and the Alligator is Old olive ink.

I used my banner and 3/4" inch circle punch to make the cute little banner. I used a variety of matching DSP and then sewed it all together with my sewing machine. I then attached it to the frame with some glue dots.

This is a very quick and easy project and the Mom to Be and the shower guest all seem impressed.

I also crochet her a small blanket:

Sweet Sunday.....Hey There

Happy Sunday Peeps!!

Here is the sweet sketch Karen has for us this week:

I started off my card by making the center element. I pulled out a fun new set that I had not inked up yet from Stampin Up called Open Heart.
I stamped the leaves with black stazon onto some confetti cream card stock and then stamped the bird image onto some scrap confetti cream.
I colored in the leaves and berries using my aqua painter. I used pear pizzazz, ole olive, cajun craze and pumpkin pie. The bird is colored with cajun craze, so saffron, and black.
I used my white gel pen to add the small spots and to color the neck and small strip above the eye.

I die cut out the circle and then hand cut the bird out and added it to the main image with some dimensionals.
The BG is all made up using the Hardwood BG stamp
The base of the card is Crumb Cake and then a layer of Cajun Craze. I stamped a the Hardwood BG a few times onto some confetti cream to use on my layers. I stamped some leaves along the bottom of the BG piece using some crumb cake ink. The leaf stamp is from the World of Dreams stamp set.
I added the flag pieces and the sentiment which comes from the Hey Bud single stamp.
I finished off with a couple of candy dots in the top corners.

Splitcoast Color Challenge......Here For You

Hello Peeps!!

Today I am sharing a card I made using the color challenge this week on Splitcoaststampers.

Cherry Cobbler, Daffodil Delight, Wild Wasabi and Pool Party.
I love this set from Stampin Up called world of Dreams, it has four nice silhouette images and two sentiments.
I started by stamping my main image with black onto the Confetti White card stock. \
I then used two other images in the set, one with Daffodil and then the other in Pear Pizzaz and once again with pear pizzazz without  re-inking. I choose to use Pear Pizzaz as my wild Wasabi ink pad is not in very good shape.  I then die cut out my oval with the oval framelits. I then used my Martha Stewart Hydrangea punch to punch out a few flowers with Cherry Cobbler and Daffodil Delight. I laid the flowers on my cushion mat and used my stylus around and around in the middle to curl them up a bit. I added them to the image piece with some glue.I created the scallop border around my image panel with one of the edgelit dies in the Adorning Edges set. I cut out a couple of strips and then added them to the oval by cutting some slits on the opposite side of the scallops so the strips would fit the curves of the oval.

The base of the card is Confetti White and then a layer of Daffodil Delight. The DSP is from the retired Newsprint pack. I then cut a banner from a piece of DSP from the Park Lane pack.
I added it to the base and curled up the ends just a bit. I then added some twine around the top and tied a small bow.
The main piece is then added to the base with some dimensionals.  I added some basic pearls to the flower centers. The sentiment comes from the retired SU set called Occasional Quotes and I used my stamp a ma jig to position it in the right place.
You may notice that I have no Pool Party color on my card, I totally forgot when I got caught up in making my card so when I finally realized, I wasn't sure how to fix it, then it hit me, a couple of little blue eggs in the nest may work:

So what do you think? Do you like the little blue eggs? I think they kinda work out alright.

Well, that is all from me, Thanks for stopping by today!!

Sweet Sunday.....Blooming Birthday

Happy Sunday Peeps!!

Here is the sweet sketch Karen has for us this week:

I really like this DSP from Stampin Up called Gold Soiree so I pulled out a couple of pieces to use on this card. The paper has a really nice sheen and feel to it, something you can not see in the pic.
The base of my card is garden Green card stock and then a layer of white and then a piece of the DSP.
The next layer is more of the same DSP matted with some Calypso Coral.

The sentiment on here is stamped with black onto whisper white card stock. It comes from the Flower Patch stamp set. I used some flowers from the Petite Petals stamp set. I stamped with Coral a few times, to get the light and dark colors. I used the matching punch to punch them out and then I layered them together and glued. I cut a leaf with one of the Secret Garden framelits using garden Green and added it to the image panel and then arranged my flowers around it. .
The main panel is layered with both coral and garden green and added to the card with dimensionals.
I was digging through my stash of stuff and came across these enamel leaf pins I have had forever and added them to the flower arrangement. I added some gold sticky back pearls to the flower centers and to the Coral layer and also under the sentiment.
