Sweet Sunday....Thoughts of you

Happy Easter Sunday peeps!!

Here is our Sweet Sketch for this week:

Love this sketch and the tilted panel!!
I pulled out a sweet Stampin Up set that I have had for awhile and had not yet inked up!
This set is called "Rain or Shine" and has the cutest little umbrellas in it!
I stamped my umbrellas in three colors, Pacific Point, Melon Mambo and Lucky Limeade to match my DSP.
The DSP is from the Sunshine and Sprinkles pack.
The umbrellas are cut out and added the the embossed panel with dimensionals.
The handles are stamped separately with black and cut out and added to the umbrellas.
I embossed the white piece with the Cloudy Day EF.
I stamped the sentiment before embossing.

The base of the card is Lucky Limeade card stock and then a layer of white and then the DSP.
I matted the strip of DSP and my main panel with Melon Mambo card stock.
I added some little silver rhinestones to the top of each umbrella and three in the upper corner.

Dynamic Duos.....Warm Birthday Wishes

Happy Saturday Peeps!!!

This week at Dynamic Duos we have a great color challenge for you:

Primrose Petals and another color of your choice!
I went with Old Olive for my second color, my favorite green.
I used the Stampin Up SAB set called "Bloomin Marvelous".  I love this flower set and it makes such pretty cards. Of course you all know I love any kind flowers for card making!
I achieved the two colors on my flowers by stamping twice without re-inking the stamp.
I stamped several flowers and cut them out.

I did the same with the leaves using old olive ink. I stacked and arranged my "bouquet" of flowers on the die cut piece of whisper white. The die cut is from the Apothecary Accents framelit die set. The sentiment on here is from the Blooming with Kindness stamp set and is stamped with black stazon.
The DSP is from the Patio party and Polka Dot Parade packs. I used some retired old olive taffeta ribbon.
The little butterfly is from the Beautiful Wings Embosslit. I added a bunch of basic pearls, on the flowers, the butterfly and in the top corners.
Be sure and head over to the Dynamic Duos Blog to see what the rest of the team did with this color challenge.

Still AddInktive.....Ears to You

Hello Peeps!!

Today over at Still AddINKtive we are spotlighting Easter, actually the challenge is to use any current Stampin Up Easter set. I am not sure this single stamp is just for Easter, after all the sentiment is kinda a "Congratulations" , but I love these little bunnies and I am using it as an Easter card anyway.

The base of the card is white card stock and then a layer of Primrose Petals and then a layer of embosses white. I used the perfect dots EF to emboss the center of the white piece  I wasn't really concerned that it didn't get all of the white as I knew I was going to add some DSP.

The DSP I used is from Patio Party paper pack. I added some Primrose ribbon across the  top and bottom of the two pieces of DSP and then made a bow and added it to the top.
The foliage in the BG is from the Just Believe stamp set and is stamped with Lucky Limeade ink. I stamped the bunnies in each of the three colors, Baja Blue, Summer Starfruit and Primrose Petals and then cut out and added it to the oval with dimensionals. I used some basic pearls for little eyes on my bunnies and for decoration on the foliage and the corners of the card.
Sadly this is my last card for the Still AddInktive Design team as my time with the design team has come to an end.
Be sure and head over to the BLOG to play in our last challenge and to give all the girls some love.

HAPPY STAMPING!!!

Merry Monday....Holiday Cheer

Merry Monday Peeps!!!

Today Lesley at Always Playing with Paper has a fun Tic Tac Toe Challenge for us:

I went with Ribbon, Paper Piecing and Red.
I had also just picked up this cute Penny Black snowman stamp and wanted to use him this week.
I stamped the snowman onto some rustic white card stock and also onto some DSP from the Stampin Up "Be of Good Cheer" paper pack. I then cut out and "pieced" the scarf and hat on the snowman.
I then stamped his hat again onto more card stock and pieced the hat brim again. I covered the hat brim with a bunch of stardust stickles.

My card turned out a bit bigger than a standard card, the base is 5-1/2 inches by 4-3/4 inches.
Then a layer of black and then Crumb Cake and then some Cherry Cobbler, my red. I embossed the Cherry Cobbler with my swirl EF.
The snowman is cut out with a circle nestie and then I cut a black scallop circle to mat with.
I used some of the Stampin Up Natural Trim Ribbon across the bottom and tied a bow.
The sentiment is from Hero Arts and is stamped with black and cut with my nesties.
I added some black brads and some black rhinestones on the sentiment piece.
I love this cute little snowman!!!

Dynamic Duos......Pink Poppies

Happy Saturday Peeps!!!

This week on the Dynamic Duos challenge, it is Monochromatic week:

I love these pinks. I sorta CASED my own card, you can see it HERE, I used the same set and same layout for this card but I wanted to try it using some for the Stampin Up First Edition DSP, I have seen this done around and really like the look. I stamped the poppies onto the DSP with black stazon and then again onto some white card stock. I used my aqua painter and pretty in pink ink to color all the flowers in. I then used regal rose ink to shade. I then cut out the flower heads and added them to the DSP piece with some dimensionals.

I added some scallops along the side using one of the Adorning Accents Edgelit Dies.
I used some retired Regal Rose grosgrain ribbon across the bottom and then added a few pearls around.
The base of the card is Crumb Cake card stock.
I almost never make a card with out adding a sentiment to the front but I really couldn't make one work on this one.

The finished inside:

Still AddInktive......Just Because

Happy Tuesday Peeps!!

Today over at Still AddINKtive Challenges
we have a fun sketch and color combo challenge for you!

The best part of this challenge is you can use the sketch, the color combo or both for your project.
I love this color combo so that part was easy and I have had the Stampin Up Floral Framelit Dies for a while so I was anxious to make a floral shaped card with this sketch!
I used the largest framelit die with rich razzleberry card stock to make the base.
The next layer is some razzleberry DSP from the Polka Dot Parade pack cut with the second largest die in the set. I then used this same die to cut two white floral pieces, one I used for the inside and the other is cut for the strip across the middle.

Awhile back I started buying the new firm ink pads from Stampin Up, I have to say I LOVE, them. I wasn't sure about them when the were first introduced but they are so nice and much easier to get a nice solid stamped image than the older ones. I have heard that they need re-inked much sooner but I can not attest to that yet as I have just started getting them. I am keeping my older ones too, since I like to squish my pads together for watercoloring, I will still be using them.
I used the beautiful Stippled Blossom stamp set for my flowers. I got the two colors on the flowers by stamping off the base flower once before stamping on my whisper white card stock, then the next layer is razzleberry full strength. I did the leaves in the same way with old olive.
The sentiment on here is from the SAB set called Vintage Verses, and I used black stazon for it.
I punched a little butterfly using the new Bitty Butterfly punch from the spring mini with pretty in pink card stock. I added some basic pearls to the center of the butterfly and to the flower centers too.

Merry Monday....Snowmen

Merry Monday Peeps!!!

Today Lesley has a fun challenge for us..

Use a snowman, can do!!!

I wanted to play with this fun free digital image that I got back in December from Birdie Brown.
I so love it and it is so FUN to color!
I got to play with my copics with this, still learning with those!
The base of my card is white card stock and then a layer of real red and the DSP is from the Polka Dot Parade pack. I tried to keep it simple and just let the colored image be the star! Can you believe I used NO ribbons or pearls? The image is matted with real red and then whisper white and attached to the base with dimensionals.

The sentiment is from the retired "Four the Holidays", I stamped with black stazon, cut it out, trimmed the ends and folded into the banner.
Be sure and hop on over to Lesley's blog "Always Playing with Paper" to see what the rest of the Merry Makers did with this fun challenge.

Sweet Sunday....Easter Bunny

Happy Sunday Peeps!!!

It is

Here is the Sweet Sketch Karen has for us this week:

I had saw a cute little bunny made with circle punches awhile back and decided I would make one.
I pulled out some retired DSP, Everyday Enchantment, to make my little bunny.

I used a 1 inch and a 1-1/2 circle for the head and body of the bunny. The ears are made with my heart punch. and his little bow tie is also made from hearts.
I sponged the edges of the circle with some crumb cake ink and used some retired black jewels for his eyes. his nose is a little rhinestone and I added a rhinestone to his bow tie as well.

Happy Saturday Peeps!!!

Time for a new color challenge on the Dynamic Duos Challenge Blog.

I had to make some So Saffron flowers!! I used my Sizzix 3-D flower die to cut out three flowers. I rolled them up and used my glue gun to secure them.
The leaves are cut with one of the Secret Garden Dies. I also used my Top Note Die and cut a white and a so saffron die cut.

The sentiment on here comes from the retired Kind and Caring Thoughts stamp set.

Dynamic Duos....Fashionably Late Birthday

Happy Saturday Peeps!

Time for a new color challenge on the Dynamic Duos Blog.

I wanted to use some of my new toys for this color challenge. I pulled out my Stampin Up Dress Up Framelit Dies and the matching stamp set "All Dressed Up". So much cuteness!!!!
I found these colors in some retired DSP from last years SAB.

I used Crumb Cake card stock for the base and also some Pool Party card stock. The Lucky Limeade color comes into play within the DSP.
I used the Oval framelit dies in pool party and embossed with the hounds tooth EF.
I added the trim around the oval by cutting some strips of Crumb Cake using one of the edgelit dies from the "Finishing Touches". I pieced it around the oval, love the look.
The sentiment is from the All Dressed Up set and I masked off the portions I wanted to use and used my Stamp-A-Ma-Jig to line it up.
I added a flower cut from the Flower Trim and added it to the waist of the dress along with a few pearls.
I then finished it off with some pearls in the corners.

Merry Mondays.......Merry Christmas

Merry Monday Peeps!!

So happy to be back with a card for the Merry Monday Challenges, I took a couple of weeks off cos I was feeling a bit overwhelmed. Things are still hectic but I am trying to make more time for crafting, I do miss it when I don't get to make a card for several days.

This week Lesley at Always playing with Paper has a great color challenge for us:

I reached for one of my favorite sets, Stampin Up's "Beautiful Season". You can just never go wrong with this set in my opinion, it is a must have and a never get rid of set.
I stamped the bird and holly image onto some confetti cream card stock with black stazon and colored with my aqua painter and ink pads.

The base if the card is the same confetti card stock and then the next layer is cherry cobbler and then the DSP is from a retired pack. I added an embossed flag piece with the always artichoke
The main image is cut out and matted using my circle and scallop circle nesties. I added it to the base with dimensionals. I then made a triple bow with some cherry cobbler seam binding ribbon and added a antique brad to the middle. The sentiment is from the "Open Sleigh" stamp set.

The rest of the Merry Makers have some awesome samples for your inspiration:

I hope you can find some time to play along with us,

Sweet Sunday....Ears to You!

Happy Sunday Peeps!!!

Here is the Sweet Sketch Karen has for us this week, (designed by yours truly):

I really wanted to use this new single stamp from Stampin' Up called "Ears to You", so cute huh??
I love the sweet little patterned bunnies!!
I stamped the images with Summer Starfruit, Rich Razzleberry and Pool Party ink and then fussy cut them out. I added them to my circle piece with some dimensionals. I used one of the delicate doily sizzlit dies in rich razzleberry under the white circle.

The base of the card is rich razzleberry and then a layer of white and then the DSP is from the Sycamore Street pack that is a free Sale-a-bration item.
I added some Summer Starfruit ribbon and the little flags is a couple more peices of the DSP and a little piece of Summer Starfruit card stock.
The sentiment is from the little single stamp, I just masked of the bunnies and stamped the words using some black ink. I then cut it out, flagged the ends and curled it up a bit to add to the card under the bunnies.
I added some tiny pearls to the bunnies for eyes.
I finished off the card with some basic pearls in the top corners.

Dynamic Duos...Birthday Wishes

Happy Saturday Peeps.

Time for a new color challenge at the Dynamic Duos Blog

I pulled out my much loved but retired Stampin Up set called "Abundant Hope". I love these daffodils, they say spring to me and so do these colors.
I decided to make a Birthday card using these flowers instead of the usual Easter card that I have made in the past.

The DSP I used is from the Floral District paper pack.
I added a embossed garden green flag and then a small strip of embossed daffodil delight and then some pearls for my final touches.
The flowers are stamped twice and colored with my aqua painter and ink pads. I cut out and added the flowers to the main image with a few dimensionals.

The rest of the Dynamo Design Team have some wonderful examples with these colors so be sure and hop on over to Dynamic Duos Blog for some great inspiration!!
