CC352.....Merry Christmas

Happy Hump Day Peeps
So sorry for the late post, I had this schedule to go live this morning and it didn't and since I was busy with other things today I did not notice.

This is a card I made using the Color Challenge on Splitcoaststampers and the Paper Players Challenge to create a Christmas card using non traditional  colors are non holiday stamps. I used the Stampin Up Array of Sunshine stamp set to create my Christmas roses.
Altho the flowers look pink I assure you they are stamped with my real red ink pad. The lighter flower is just made by stamping the flower stamp again with out re-inking.
I made the holly leaves with my oval and slit punches. I know what you are thinking, holly does not have flowers, it has berries, but I think the holly leaves look nice and give the card a winter/Christmas feel.
The DSP is from the Holly Berry Bouquet pack and I added a pretty bow, of course. The sentiment on here is from the Contempo Christmas stamp set

Just wanted to give you a heads up to check out this post at Vintage Paper Designs where she has featured my tree ornaments in her Vintage Paper Holiday Inspiration. What an honor, and she was so sweet to contact me about them. There is some really cute ideas in her post and I am thrilled to be included!!

Well, that is all from me today, thanks so much for stopping by and
HAPPY STAMPING!!!

Season's Greetings

Happy Tuesday Peeps!
Today I am sharing a card I made last week with Wendy's Sketch from the Our Creative Corner challenge this week. I ended up not using this card on Saturday in favor of another one I made but I still like this one. Of course I would it has my favorite little Christmas girl from the Stampin Up Greeting Card Kids stamp set.

I used the circle element on the sketch to make another ornament. This time attached to the card but it could  be removed. I used Cherry Cobbler card stock for the base and followed that with some Confetti Cream card stock and the DSP is from the Holly Berry Bouquet Specialty pack.

The sentiment I used is from the "Many Merry Messages" stamp set. I stamped with black stazon ink onto the confetti crream card stock. I matted this layer with more cherry cobbler card stock that I used the lace edge punch along the bottom. I added some basic rhinestones and a couple of snowflakes from the Norther Flurries Sizzlets Die strip. I put some of the cherry cobbler bakers twine through the top of the ornament for a hanger.
Well, that is all from me today, thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!

SSSC146.....Merry

Good Morning Peeps!!!
It is Sunday which means it's time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge.

Here is the SWEET sketch Karen has for us this week:

Another great sketch! I loved this one and will file it away to use again!
I started the card with a base of  Riding Hood Red card stock. I followed that up with some crumb cake card stock and the DSP I used is from the Stampin Up "Letters to Santa" paper pack.

I had a totally different idea in mind when I sat down to make this card. I had a different stamp set out and stamped a completely different image than the one I ended up with, but the other just didn't  work and you gotta know when to just let it go and change to something you know works!  I know I have used this image alot this season but it is a fave and makes really nice cards.
I stamped the image which is from the Stampin Up "Beautiful Season" stamp set onto some confetti cream card stock with black stazon and colored with my aqua painter and ink pads. I used old olive, basic gray, riding hood red, so saffron, soft suede and bashful blue.

I added some very vanilla satin ribbon on the side and tied a bow. The little sentiment tag is from the "Tiny Tags stamp set. I added a couple of basic pearls and it is done.

OCC...It's Time To Decorate Challenge

Happy Saturday Peeps!!!
It is time for another Our Creative Corner Challenge.

This week our hostess is the fabulous Wendy Jansen and she has another fun challenge for us.
This is her challenge for us this week:

Haul out the Holly...It's time to Decorate! Challenge.
The challenge this week is to take this very basic sketch, use it, and "decorate" it!

You all know I LOVE a sketch challenge and this one is so fun!
I wanted to make some more of the little poinsettias, like the one I did earlier on one of my Blog Hop Projects. I used the Build A Blossom punch to make the poinsettias, using the smallest leaf on the punch. I punched out twelve for each flower and used 6 on the bottom and 6 on the top.
The sentiment on here comes from the Beautiful Season stamp set.  I stamped it with black stazon onto some Confetti Cream card stock. I used my circle and scallop circle nesties to cut out the main panel.

The base of the card is Cherry Cobbler card stock and then the next layer is Crumb Cake card stock that I embossed with the Petals a Plenty EF. The layer across the bottom is some DSP from the Well Worn paper pack. I matted that with more cherry cobbler card stock that I used the scallop edge punch across the bottom. I tied on some very vanilla seam binding ribbon and tied a pretty bow. I added a few basic rhinestones to the top corners and under the sentiment.  The center of the poinsettias are made with some of the small basic pearls that I colored with a yellow  permanent  marker.
I always want to finish the inside too:

Be sure to check the Our Creative Corner Blog
to see what the rest of the design team came up with for this fun  challenge.
I hope you can find some time to play along and if you do, don't forget to link it up over on the Our Creative Corner Blog so we can all see it!

Thanks for stopping by today and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!
