Color Challenge....Thinking of You

Happy Hump Day Peeps!!

Today I am sharing a card made with the color challenge this week on Splitcoaststampers. The colors are rich Razzleberry, Melon Mambo and Tangerine Tango with a dessert option of a pin.

I started this card with a base of rich razzleberry and then followed up with a piece of white that I embossed with the square lattice EF. The DSP I used on here is from a retired pack from last year called Razzleberry Lemonade, maybe even 2 years old, not sure.

I used the Stampin UP "Flower Fest" stamp set. I stamped the flowers with versamark onto the melon mambo and tangerine tango and embossed with white embossing powder, I have done this flower like this several times and LOVE the look of that flower embossed and layered. Give it a try, you will be hooked too. The sentiment comes from the "Thoughts & Prayers" stamp set.

I used some rich razzleberry satin ribbon, which is retired too but I stocked up on it. I added my dessert option by using the "Tiny Tags" stamp set and the jewelry tag punch. I added that to the bow with a pin from the Vintage Trinkets assortment pack, another must have embellishment.

Well, that is all from me, thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!

Christmas in July.....Merry & Bright

Happy Tuesday Peeps!!

Today I am sharing a card I made for this weeks challenge on The Paper Players Blog. This week the challenge theme is  Christmas in July. I pulled out my "Contempo Christmas" stamp set to use this fun ornament stamp. I stamped the ornament with riding hood red and used my chocolate chip marker to color in the center pieces of the ornament. I used the ornament punch to punch out the ornament and added it to the white piece with some dimensionals. I stamped the sentiment from the retired "Bright Christmas" stamp set with chocolate chip and riding hood red onto some shimmer white cardstock. I matted that piece with choclate chip card stock.
I used the pinking hearts border punch along the bottom of the chocolate chip matt.

The base of the card is riding hood red and the card is 3-1/2 inches by 6-1/2 inches. I followed that with a layer of riding hood red and the DSP is from a retired Valentine pack, I think. I sponged the edges heavily with riding hood red ink. I used some wide striped chocolate chip ribbon across the card and tied a big pretty bow. I used a few basic rhinestone on the ornament and on the top corner. I added some brown twine jute on the ornament for the hanger and for the bow.

Well. that is all from me today, thanks for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!

SSSC124....Happy Birthday

Good Morning Peeps!!

It's Sunday which means it is time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge.

Here is the sweet sketch that Karen has for us this week:

No matter how hard I tried not to, I ended up changing the sketch just a bit. My piece along the bottom, the one I used for my sentiment, ended up being thinner than the sketch. I tried not to do that, I started out with it being wide, but I keep trimming it down til it was narrow. So I curled and trimmed the ends to make it a "flag". For the rest I followed the sketch fairly well, I think! :)

I am loving the new Stampin Up in color called "Wisteria Wonder" it is my favorite, of the moment anyway. I started my card with a base of Wisteria and then followed with some whisper white. The DSP here is from the "Flirtatious" Speciality Pack. The stamp set I used is one of the new hostess sets. This one is called "Simply Soft". I stamped with black stazon onto watercolor paper and colored with my aqua painter and some wisteria and old olive ink. I added some crumb cake ink around the flower and splattered it a bit with some Early Espresso ink.

I used the new Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer Punch to make my layered flower. I punched four layers and crumpled them all up and added a pearl brad to the center and smooth it back out a bit. I added some little leaves and white satin ribbon around the flower and the sentiment is from the "Something to Celebrate" stamp set.

I hope you can find some time to play along with us this week, I would love to see what you come up with, create a card or scrapbook page with this sketch and then go to Karen's blog and link up your project for all of us to see.

OK, let's see what the rest of the Sweet Sunday Sketch Team has in store for us this week:

Well, thank you for stopping by today and HAPPY STAMPING!!!

OCC....Seasonal Celebration

Good Saturday Morning Peeps!

It is time for another new challenge over on the Our Creative Corner Blog.

Our challenge hostess this week is the fabulous Sarah Gough and she has Seasonal Celebration challenge for us: Create a card that celebrates the 4th of July or Christmas in July.

I choose to make a 4th of July card. I started the card with a base of Night of Navy card stock. I then followed that with some Crumb cake cardstock that I embossed with the square lattice EF. The main layer is made up of some crumb cake card stock that I sponged some stripes of Cherry Cobbler ink on to.

I then used an old retired Stampin Up set that I think is called "Thankful Thoughts" I am not sure as my set does not have a name on it. I stamped the silhouette stamp with black stazon onto the striped piece. I stamped the "flag" from the same image onto some scrap crumb cake first coloring it with my night of navy and cherry cobbler marker. I then cut it out and added it to the main piece with a dimesionals.

I added some stars at the top that I embossed with the square lattice EF. I used some antique mini brads in the centers of the stars. I then used some cherry cobbler bakers twine to wrap around the bottom and added another star and tied a knot. The sentiment on here says "God Bless America, Land that I Love."

Be sure to check the Our Creative Corner Blog to see what the rest of the design team came up with for this fun  challenge. I hope you can find some time to play along and if you do don't forget to link it up over on the Our Creative Corner Blog so we can all see it!

Thanks for stopping by today and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!

WT329.....Snow Fun

TGIF Peeps!!!

Are you ready for the holiday weekend?  I am looking forward to it!

Today I am sharing a card I made with the Ways to Use it challenge this week on Splitcoaststampers. The challenge was to Use something from your stash that is at least 6 months old, and also use an item that is newer than 6 months old.

I choose to use a new stamp set, Snow Much Fun that is in the brand new Stampin' Up catalog that goes live today at noon. I stamped the snow man and tree image onto some very vanilla card stock with black stazon. I colored it in with my aqua painter and ink from my ink pads. I used the card shown in the catalog for inspiration on my card. I like the layout they had used so I did my version of it.

The old on my card is from the DSP, it is from a retired pack from last Christmas and I think the name is "Deck the Halls".  The antique brad are some I have had for awhile and of course the modern label punch is also an older punch.

Love this cute snowman set! You are definitely gonna want to get it!

Well, that is all from me today, thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!
