SFYTT Thank You
Good Tuesday Morning Peeps!
Today's card is made for the sketch for you to try.
I sure had trouble with this one! I am not real thrilled with it still. My picture is a bit off too. Wow, maybe I shouldn't even post it...LOL!!!
This is made with all retiring stuff from SU. The base is pink piourette and layered with riding hood red and the DS paper is Bella Rose. The flower and sentiment all come from the Bella Flower set.
I stamped the small flower twice onto scrap paper and cut it out and added a bunch of crystal effects. The rest is pretty self explantory so if you have any questions just let me know.
Thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!

Sweet-Heart
Good Monday Morning Peeps! Hope you all had a great weekend!
Today's card is made for the Karen Giron's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge.
I used some of the new in-colors for this card and paired it up with a favorite old set of mine, Happy Harmony. The sentiment is from the Small Sayings set. The base is Rich Razzleberry followed with whisper white and then Melon Mambo and then some of the yummy Razzleberry Lemonade DS paper. I cut the circle and the scallop circle with my nesties and cuttlebug. I inked up the flower heads of the stamp with Melon Mambo and then used a old olive marker to color in the stems. I used some rich razzleberry ink from my ink pad and my aqua painter to add a bit of darker color onto the flowers.
The two strips across the card are melon mambo and one is ran through the cuttlebug with a embossing strip and I punched the end of both the sentiment strip and two melon strips with my photo corner punch to make the ends.
Well, that is all for now, Thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!

Upside Down Kind & Caring Thoughts
Good Sunday Morning Peeps. I don't usually post on Sunday but I was super excited about this card, I couldn't wait!!!
I had the idea a couple of days ago when playing with the new Level 3 hostess set, Kind & Caring Thoughts. I thought the flower if turned up-side down would look like fireworks! I think it really does!
I used shimmer white cardstock and masked off the stem and inked the flower up with real red ink and night of navy ink and stamped them. I used a sentiment from A Little Birdie Told Me.
I added some dazzling diamonds glitter to the "fireworks" with my quickie glue pen. The base of the card is Night of Navy followed by white and then real red. I used Classic Stars wheel, for the BG on the real red cardstock, rolled it with real red ink. The night of navy strip is punched on the end with a square punch on an angle and pierced with my piercing tool and mat pack. I added a strip of night of navy punched with the lace edge punch to the bottom of the main image panel that is up on pop dots. I finished off with three white brads in the top left corner and it is done, no ribbon and no DS paper!!!!!
Well, that is all for today, thanks for coming by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!

TGIF Peeps!!!! Hope you are having a fabulous week and looking forward to a fun weekend!!! It has been sooo HOT here in southwest Missouri, I have been doing nothing but hibernating inside! I am getting out today, my friend Lois is picking me up and we are heading into town and then to her house for some FUN and some stamping!!!
Today's card is another sneak peek of new in colors, DS paper and stamps! I used the sketch on the Stamps and Smiles Fresh Batch Blog.
I started my card with a base of crushed curry cardstock. The card is a 5 inch square. I followed with a layer of old olive and then some of the fun Tall Tales DS paper. The next layer is old olive and then more tall tales paper, the next is crushed curry and more tall tales DS paper. I used old olive grosgrain ribbon. The giraffe is stampe onto whisper white with crushed curry. I used my really rust marker to color in the tail and mane. I used my coluzzle and nesties to cut the oval and oval scallops. I added silver brads matted with a 3/4 inch circle. The sentiment comes from the Wild about You set and is stamped with dusty durango and stamped onto whisper white and punched out with the word window punch.

The stamp set is a level 3 hostess set called Kind & Caring Thoughts. I really love this set, the sentiments and font are excellent!
The ink colors are melon mambo and crushed curry. I used the new modern label punch along with the word window for the layers of my sentiment. The buttons are from my stash and my friend Lois' stash too.

"Thanks So Much" for new stuff!
Happy Hump Day Peeps!!! Hope you are ready for some more new stuff!! I have to say, I have heard some demos say they are not fond of the new in colors, but I just love them! I always think I will have a hard time letting go of the "old" in colors and every year when the new ones come out and we get our first glimpse I think WHAT??? I don't think I would want to give up Baja Breeze or Riding hood red, but then the Razzleberry and Melon Mambo are so fabulous!
Today I am using Karen Giron's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge and some more new stuff! I am using the new in colors Soft Suede and Crushed Curry. Again no ribbon, so I created a "ribbon look" with the paper. The stamp set used is also a new sneak peek set, "Autumn Days" and the sentiment is from the new Level 3 Hostess set "Kind & Caring Thoughts".
Well, that is all for today Thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!!

NEW STUFF!!!
Good Tuesday Morning Peeps! I am super excited to show you some sneak peeks from the upcoming cattie!! I finally got some of my new stuff, I did have to limit what I got somewhat, I am still unemployed and still waiting on my first un-employment benefits to kick in, so I did not get the new ribbon, yet. That will be the next order.
I am still thrilled with this card. The stamp set is a Level 3 hostess called Kind & Caring Thoughts. I did use a retiring set for the sentiment, Bella Blossom. The new in colors are really pretty, love the rich colors!!!
This card is made with Rich Razzleberry and the Razzleberry Lemonade DS paper. It is just gorgeous, I am stepping out on a limb and saying this rich razzleberry is my favorite, so far. Well, it will be until my next card with another in color....LOL!!!!!
The flower is stamped with rich razzleberry, melon mambo and pumpkin pie. This is a Verve Sketch.
Well, thanks so much for stopping by today and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!

SFYTT Best Wishes
Good Monday Morning Peeps!! Hope you all had a great weekend and are ready for to tackle the upcoming week! I am expecting to get some new goodies today, I am pumped!!!
Today's card is made for Jen's Sketch for you to Try!
I looked at this sketch for ever and thought about it for a long time and just couldn't wrap my head around it. Nothing was coming to mind as what to make with it. But when I sit down at my desk it just all fell into place. I pulled out my Eastern Blooms stamp set and then I went looking for some DS paper. I saw my Maine Blueberry, which I love the colors are some of my all time favorites, and after that it all come together really quickly. I have never made a card as quickly as I did this one. I hope that means I am improving! You all would be surprised to know how long I take with a card and how much I anguish over every little thing! I doubt myself at every turn!! UGH!!!!!
The card is a 4-1/2 inch square. I started the base with some Bashful Blue and then each layer is matted with Not Quite Navy! The card is pretty straight forward, so I will save you the chit-chat. I hope you like it!
Thanks so much for stopping by, I have alot to get done before my friend Lois picks me up around noon. We are going to stalk the UPS man together and maybe stamp a little in between times!! HAPPY STAMPING!!!!!

A Sketch and a CASE
Happy Saturday Peeps!!!
Toady I have two cards to show you. The first one is for the weekend sketch challenge seen here.
I varied the sketch just a bit, not on purpose, but because I didn't look closely when putting it all together. My side element is behind the bottom piece, and in the sketch it is over. But all in all I think it still works.
I started with a base of pretty in pink. The colors on this card is a bit different than my usual, but my DD loves pink so I thought I would work with it some.
I used the SU set "Upsy Daisy" for the image. I inked up the flowers with pretty in pink ink and then used my certainly celery marker to ink the stems. I used my nesties and cuttlebug to cut out the scallop and the rose red scalloped mat. The DS paper is from an old retired pack, Spring Fling. I used a cuttlebug strip embossing folder for the side piece and punched a couple of butterflies for the accent element.
This next card is a total CASE of this cutie patootie card by my blogging buddy Beth from Big Sky Paper and Design. Love her blog!
The card is made with just two layers, I know, a shock to my card making system, but I do LOVE it. I was so happy to see that this set, Season of Friendship, made it into the new catalog. It is one of my faves!
The only thinks I changed from her original is the way the "grass" is done. I used a strip of certainly celery and used my paper snips to "cut" the grass look. I added some sticky rhinestones to the center of the flowers.
Well, that is all for today, Thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!

Whoo! Hoo!
Good Friday Morning Peeps!! Today's card is made with the sketch on the Stamps and Smiles Fresh Batch Blog.
The owl is a CASE of this fabulous one by Connie Collins. I have been wanting to try it every since I saw hers. I loved how she did the eyes on the owl, instead of the hearts that come with the chipboard. I used the same DS paper, Good Morning Sunshine, that she used.
I really like how it came out, not sure about the grommet and knot I added, but once it is on there you can't turn back. The sentiment I used is from the Just Celebrate stamp set.
Well, that is it for today, Thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!

Another Wonderful Sketch Card
Good Thursday morning Peeps!!! Hope you all are having a great week so far. I want to send a shout out to my friend Lois, hope you are feeling better soon girly!!!!
Today's card is made with this weeks sketch on splitcoast. I started my card out with a base of baja breeze. I used the Walk in the Park DS paper and basic gray for matting all my layers. I changed things up a bit by stamping my sentiment directly onto the designer paper. I used cameo coral and basic gray ink to stamp the sentiment and yes, I used the stamp-a-ma-jig to line it all up.
I used the stamp set Great Friend and Wonderful Favorites, it was still out on my stamp table, to make the card. I stamped the butterfly and leaf from the Great Friend set onto some scrap whisper white and cut them both out.
The main image/sentiment panel is up on dimensionals and has a small strip on cameo coral cardstock at the end that was punched with the lace edge punch. The butterfly has two silver brads in the middle and is attached to the card with a couple of glue dots. I then slipped the leaf under the butterfly and glued it down.
Well, that is two wonderful friend cards in a row, guess I should put that set away and pull something else out. I am expecting some of my new sneak peek goodies next week, can't hardly wait!
Thanks so much for stopping by today and HAPPY STAMPING!!!

Wonderful
Happy Hump Day Peeps!!! Halfway through the week! I am looking forward to the end of the week and some fun stamping time with friends, altho I will miss the ones who can not be there!
Today's card is a quick one I put together yesterday. I started with a base of kiwi kiss. I had gotten some of the flowers from the pretties kit in a bulk buy awhile back and I hadn't used them yet, so that was my starting point for this card. I punched a flower out of pink pirouette and added a silver brad to the middle of it and then added them to the middle of the white silk flower.
The DS paper I used is from the Raspberry Tart pack. Each layer is matted with pink pirouette card stock. The sentiment is from the Wonderful Favorites stamp set and is stamped onto whisper white with regal rose ink. The "Friend" is done the same way but matted with kiwi kiss card stock and mounted to the card with a dimensional.
I added a strip of regal rose card sock to the bottom of the top layer that I had used the lace edge punch on. I pierced around the layers of the card on the right side with my mat pack and piercing tool.
Well, that is about it for today, thanks again, as always, for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!

Sweet Friend Sketch!
Good Tuesday Morning Peeps!
Today's card is made from the sketch on Karen Giron's blog The Sweetest Thing. I just love her blog, you should take some time to peruse her beautiful work.
This sketch was a bit challenging for me, with all its components. I started with my favorite chocolate chip for the base, followed by some regal rose and the Sweet Always DS paper.
The stamp set I used is a new one I stamped off a couple of images while visiting my friend Lois over the weekend, it is called Asian Artistry and is a Level 2 Hostess set from the new catalog coming out July 1st.
It is stamped with black stazon onto watercolor paper. I colored it in with old olive and bashful blue for the dragonfly. I used some pumpkin pie to color in the flower heads on this, but after getting the card all together I felt the image really didn't fit my card design, so I punched some flowers out with my three flower punch and some regal rose card stock and added some white mini brads and pop dotted them up around the grass. It really changed the feel of this set and took it completely away from being Asian, which I don't do, I don't know how to capture that feel, I just know the colors I used for this card is NOT Asian.
The sentiment is from the Best Yet hostess set and is stamped onto white and punched out with the 1-3/8 inch circle punch and layered onto a scallop pumpkin pie scallop circle and is up on dimensionls. I pierced around everything! The large circle and scallops are cut out with my nesties and cuttlebug. I added some chocolate chip brads and some regal rose ribbon.
This next card is one I did last week for Karen's sketch and never got a chance to post:
I love making Americana type cards, I have one I will show you later that I have been working on made with the crimped envelope technique.
Well, that is all for today, thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!

Thanks a Gazillion
Good Monday Morning Peeps!! Today's card is made with Jen's Sketch for You to Try.
I am still using some of the sets I borrowed from my friend Lois. This time I used Best Wishes and More and Really Retro. Both of those are on my wish list. I just love flowers, as I am sure you know if you are a regular visitor of my blog. I started with a base of riding hood red followed by some whisper white and then the DS paper is from the Washington Apple and Deilicate Dots, SAB, paper packs. The rest is pretty straight forward, I pop dotted up the flowers and leaves and added some buttons to the centers.
Well, that is about it for today, thanks so much for stopping by and if you have any questions you can just shoot me an e-mail, link is in my sidebar, HAPPY STAMPING!!

New Sketch Cahllenge
Good Saturday Morning Peeps! My blogging schedule sure has been a mess since I am not working! You would think be home all the time would give me more time to stamp than when I was working 6 days a week. Sure hasn't worked out that way. I have been busy cleaning, something I have neglected, and then with my camera problems it kinda makes me not want to post. Yesterday I was in the mood to make something and the stamp set I wanted to use was no where to be found. I spent at least two hours digging and looking for it. By the time I gave up I wasn't in the mood to make anything!
Today's card is made for a new sketch challenge, one I just found anyway. You can see it here.
I dug out some retired DS paper, Jersey Shore. I like the bright colors in it. I used Brilliant Blue and Pumpkin pie card stock along with the designer paper. I used a stamp set that I borrowed from my friend Lois. On your birthday, is definitely on my want list, which I am sure will be growing after seeing the new cattie later today!
I started with a base of whisper white followed by brilliant blue and then some of the DS paper. The next layer is pumpkin pie and then more DS paper. I stamped the sentiment onto whisper white and layered it onto some brilliant blue card stock. I pierced all around the top two layers. I used some pumpkin pie striped ribbon and punched a couple of stars out of the blue and pumpkin cardstock for the top corner element.
Well, that is all for now, Thanks so much for stopping by today and HAPPY STAMPING!!!

Best Wishes
Happy Thursday Peeps! Hope all is well with you and the week is going good! We are the down hill slide to the weekend!!
Today's card is made with the sketch on splitcoast. While blurfing, blog surfing, a while back I saw this card. I had been wanting to try to make a version of it for sometime. This is what I came up with.
I started with a base of chocolate chip, followed that with some whisper white and then some DS paper from the Bella Rose pack. The stamp sets I used are Spring Solitude, Short & Sweet and Wild About You. Unusual for me, I almost always use just one set. The "trees" are colored in with markers, in chocolate chip, really rust and close to cocoa, the bird is stamped with really rust, twice, cut out and popped up, the sentiment is stamped in chocolate chip ink. I added a row of piercing under the the "trees".
I know it looks kinda "Fall-ish", but I love it, love the colors, they are my favorite "family" of colors
I used the swiss dot embossing folder one the white strip and the chocolate chip squares under the main panel. I added three antique copper brads and tied a pretty knot bow with some chocolate chip grosgrain ribbon.
Well, that is it for now, Thanks for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!!

Bella Bleu Thank You
Happy Hump Day Peeps! I am back with yet another lousy picture. What can I say, please bear with me. My niece loaned me an old digital camera of hers, but I have to play with it more to get the hang of it, funny how every camera is different with its own quirks!
Today's card is not made with any particular sketch. I just wanted to use some of my Bella Bleu DS paper. The base is Shara Sand, followed by some Not Quite Navy and then the DS paper. The next layer is Shara sand and then DS paper. The image is stamped onto watercolor paper and colored with my aquapainter and not quite Navy and old olive ink. I mated this with not quite navy and pierced all around the edge. I stamped the sentiment, from Trendy Trees, onto the watercolor paper and used the My Way punch to punch the ends of both layers. I added three NQN brads at the top and bottom. I added a Shara Sand flower with another NQN brad in the middle to the end of the sentiment flag.
Well. that is all for today, Thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!

Just Because
Good Tuesday Morning Peeps!! Hope you all are having a great week so far! Still plugging along here with a bad camera. Thanks to everyone yesterday who kindly said my pics are not that bad, I appreciate it. I know they are not up to the point I like tho.
Today's card is one I made yesterday. I had seen this card by Nancy on her blog. I wanted to try my hand at that fabulous center element.
My card is a 5 inch square. I started with PTI white card stock. The layers are all pink passion and the DS paper is the Sweet Always. I just got this paper last month during the buy 3 get 1 free promotion. I really love the colors in it.
The Stamp set is the soon to be retired, Heartfelt Thanks. The sentiment comes from the Best Yet hostess set. I used two of the pumpkin pie flower brads, I have been hoarding those for some time. I added a clip and some pumpkin pie striped ribbon. The card is so bright and pretty!
Thanks so much for stopping by today and HAPPY STAMPING!!!

Hello There
Good Monday afternoon Peeps!!! I am still having camera problems, I need a new one but with me being un-employed, it really is not in the budget right now, If you have one for sell or know of one for sell, has to be very reasonably priced, please let me know! I really hesitate to even post my card, because my pictures are on the "awful" side, but I don't want to not update my blog.
My card today is made for the Weekend Sketch Challenge #84, hosted this week by the Fabulous Laurie Schmidlin.
I wanted top use some of the retiring in-colors, I started with some pacific blue cardstock, 4-1/4 by 8-1/2 inches, folded in half. Followed by some summer sun that I used my lace edge punch on the bottom. My three strips are made with kiwi and Good Morning Sunshine Paper. I stamped the bird from Cheep Talk with pacific point and I used my summer sun marker to color the legs and beak.
stamped the "Hello There" was stamped with pacific and cut out and mounted with a dimensional. The "My Fabulous Friend" is from the Really Retro set and was also stamped with Pacific Point ink and punched out with the word window punch. I added two white brads at the top corners. The bird and summer sun mat was cut with my nesties and cuttlebug.
Well, that is all for today, Thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!

Enjoy Your Day
Good Saturday Afternoon Peeps! Sorry for my missed and late posting. Please bear with me as I have some computer and camera issues.
Today's card is made for the Stamps and Smiles Sketch Challenge.
I was looking to make something fun and whimsical, so I finally landed on this stamp set, Penguin Paradise. It is an older retired set, but I just love it. I used some of the fun Pink Flamingo DS paper. I used tempting turquoise for my card base and whisper white ot mat the DS paper. The penguin is stamped with black stazon and water colored with my aqua painter and various inks. I also stamped the fist three times and water colored it as well. I used the SU set "Riveting" for the sentiments, it also a retired set.
Well, that is all for today, I hope to be back soon with a new card for the weekend sketch challenge.
Thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!

You're Absolutely Fabulous
Good Thursday Morning Peeps!!! It has been quite a week so far. Yesterday I took a tumble in my kitchen, I stepped on an ice cube and turned my ankle. I tried to keep myself from falling and grab hold of a bar stool and hurt my arm and hit my head on the wall! I think un-employment is not for me!!! LOL!!!
Well, onto today's card. I used this sketch on splitcoast. I tried several times yesterday to make something I liked. I finally came up with this one this morning. I like it alot better since I made the card smaller. It is a 4-1/4 inch square. This card also fits the Ways to Use it Challenge on Splitcoast. To create an image.
I had saw this card awhile back and wanted to try those flowers. I made them by using my scallop edge punch and crimper and then attaching them to a 1-1/4 inch circle.
My card stock colors are whisper white, chocolate chip and summer sun. The DS paper is Good Morning Sunshine. I stamped the sentiment with black and used the curly label punch to make my fancy end and mated it with chocolate chip. I stamped and colored and cut out a bee from the "Just Buzzin' By" stamp set and attached it to the end of the sentiment. Both of the flowers are on dimensionals and the sentiment strip is added with dimensionals too. I found three tiny little buttons that matched the summer sun in my stash. I added tiny little strips of chocolate chip to the middle of the buttons and added them to the top of the card with glue dots.
Well, that is all for today, Thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!
Vicki
P.S. I still don't have a camera that works very well, so excuse my picture quality.

Thinking of You
Good Wednesday morning Peeps! It is day three of un-employment, I am already losing it. Yesterday I went to the grocery store with my shirt on backwards, probably has nothing to do with me being jobless, but what the heck!!!
Well, on to today's card. I made this one for the color challenge on Splitcoast. It was to use tangerine tango, kiwi kiss and riding hood red. All month is a salute to the retiring "in colors", altho there was an announcement on SU that said the More popular in colors could be making a reappearance sooner or later, I hope it is baja and my other favorite from the year before groovy guava. Love them both!!!
Anyway my card is started with a base of tangerine followed by whisper white and then riding hood red and some DS paper from the Haiku pack. The main image panel is made by sponging, blush blossom, pumpkin pie, tangerine and really rust. I used the grass from Inspired by Nature and stamped it with some basic gray ink. I highlighted a few stems with my white gel pen. I added some black brads and tangerine ribbon. The sentiment is a rub-on.
Well, that is it for today, thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!

Sweet Thank You
Good Tuesday Morning Peeps! Hope your week started out well, it has gotten so hot here the last few days! YUCK!!! I really hate the heat!
Today's card is made with the Sweet Sunday Sketch on Karen Giron's blog. I was inspired by the colors in this card made by Jodi Collins. I often look at others cards for color inspiration, I think that is one of my hardest things in card making, colors.
I used kiwi kiss and basic black and some DS paper from the Rockabilly pack and of course whisper white. The set I used is God's Beauty and is a Level 1 Hostess set in the current cattie. I stamped all the images in black pigment ink and embossed with clear embossing powder. Colored the butterfly and flower and leaves in with my aqua painter and ink from the lids of my ink pad, kiwi and riding hood red.
Well, that is all for today, Thanks so much for stopping by today and HAPPY STAMPING!!!

SFYTT You're A Friend
Good Monday Morning Peeps!! Hope You all had a great weekend! I had some fun stamping time on Saturday with some good friends. We stamped, we ate, we laughed.....three of my favorite things!!! Today is my official first day of being un-employed!!! Seems really strange....but I will get use to it I am sure and when it is time to get out and really hunt for a job, I will be scared to death!
Well, on to today's card. It is made with Jen's Sketch for You to Try. I was greatly inspired by this card made by Connie Collins.
I started with a base of riding hood red, followed by so saffron and baja breeze. The DS paper is the Sweet Slumber Textured Pack, one of my favorites from this catalog, I just love baja and riding hood red, I will hate it when they retire.
The stamp set is the Great Friend set from the mini and I used the Birds and Blooms sizzlet to make the flowers. I don't have a Big Shot, just the cuttlebug and it is just about impossible to get those little sizzlets to work in it. If any one has any tips for using the cuttlebug with the sizzlets and getting it to cut well, please let me know.
I added sticky pearls to the flower centers and on the corners of the squares. No ribbon on this one.
Well, that is it for today, Thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!
